Tour of California Finale... LIVE!

Tour_of_cali_live_medium

I firmly believe that today is a day for an enterprising rider to make an effort to steal the race. But is anyone stronger than Levi Leipheimer? Does anyone else have the team to do it? Hm... all I can come up with is Jani Brajkovic, or maybe Chris Horner. Hey, I can dream.

cyclingnews is up

11:54 PST
Today it’s beautiful weather – in the upper 60s and lower 70s (degrees Fahrenheit). It’s still overcast, but the clouds are darker than yesterday. With a 10 percent chance of rain and Southern California’s micro-climates, it’s possible that we could see some showers today at the higher elevations.

Other than Andy Schleck,

Is there anyone in that group that can hold a lead once they hit Palomar. Seems to me like most of these guys would need at least 2 or 3 minutes at the bottom if they didn’t want to get caught before the top. Andy Schleck might be able to do it with only a minute. But if he drops the rest going up, He’ll have a long trip home.

Small groups chasing the breakaway,

and the front 8 have split in half.

It is kinda creeping me out seeing Landis chasing the breakaway uphill. Takes me back to a sunny July day a few years ago. ugh..

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
