same here
and even better: Colom is on my team, and he already payed off the 2 points I payed for him.
Ô col Bayard, Ô Tourmalet, à côté du Galibier, vous êtes de la pale et vulgaire bibine !
Me, too!
It’s been a really exciting week here at PN.

Not even that
most of them are in Italy right now. Losing.
i am glad that my PdC VDS team
is different from my Cyclingfever team – i managed to tank remarkably over there…
You may very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment.
I always forget to update my Cyclinggfever teams day to day.
I probably have my opening TT team for stage 8!
Colom with the pacifier on the Podium!
He have a new baby too? One supposes.
Great day today!
Props to Contador for fighting on today…..to Chavenal for riding his brains out after his flat to protect his podium place….to Sanchez and Cd’E for tearing it up yesterday and not panicking today. Smart riding by Cd’E!
Bring on the Cobbles!
looks like i missed the fun but yay Chavanel!
sounds like he had to put up a fight after that mechanical, so i’m really glad that he stayed on the podium and got the green – he certainly earned it! he’s my one VDS guy in the top ten.
congrats to Sanchez, too! and i continue to be impressed with Seeldrayers…

Points competition:
Chavanel, Contador,Colom
KOM:
Martin, Contador, Roy
Young rider:
Seldrayers, Hivert, Trophy Mom
This year's Christian Vandevelde
He’s a great buy at 2 points. He’s already paid for himself and will score a fair bit more I’m thinkin’.
Meanwhile Chavanel is in top form heading into the cobbles.
Frank Schleck- a fine solid tune-up. Just what was planned for him.
Martin- Excellent way to pick up VDS points with the KOM jersey.
Lulu- what’s he gonna do now? Lat year he followed up his 5th place at P-N with a 3rd at Criterium.
How on earth did you get C for 2 points?
I thought Chris wouldn’t allow us to keep our guys from last year as a bonus of getting them then at lower costs.
LOL!
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
lol is right!
I was equating Colom as like Vandevelde- an older guy who FINALLY gets a chance to ride for himself and shows the class he has.
:-) That might've been me more wishing there was a way to do just that -
get guys early and keep them at those points if we never get rid of them. ha ha.
I could not fathom the VDS sheet nightmares.
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
Well he probably won't be the next C
maybe in the VDS but that’s it. He will probably be leader much more than C will, and will race to win more often but I don’t think he will be able to pull off a to 5 at the Tour, maybe the Vuelta if the field is thin. Chavanel will now probably go and work for Bonnen for most of the next races, maybe Quickstep will be nice enough to allow him to be leader at Dwars…nah. Lulu will be the most interesting because the rest of his season depends a bit on CONI, will he get to lead every time he races and at the Tour?
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
Hey Phil... that would be a top 4 finish. LOL!
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
Sorry Nikki, I usually use top 5 when a rider is 4th or 5th
but yes he was 4th! But Colom will not get 4th or 5th I believe.
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
I like Colom but yeah, don't think he'll be at that level in a 3 week stage race.
I love C and this year is going to one hell of a Tour. I think C mentally is ready but damn, there’s a lot of guys going for that podium. Forever the fan I am though – Go C! :-)
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
Well in VDS terms Colom doesn't have to place 4th in the Tour.
He’s already halfway to C’s VDS totals last year.
But it will be interesting to see what Katyusha does in the Grand Tours. They have Jennifer Grey for the Giro but of their GC hopes it’s 1) Colom, b) Karpets, and 3) no one else. Which GT will they throw Colom at? Will he do two of them?
I think Colom is doing the Tour and Vuelta
maybe Karpets will do the Giro again but this year they don’t have much for the overall, seeing how rich they are though they will probably end up with Contador and a Schleck in a few years.
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
He's doing the Giro right?
although I’m assuming Danielson will be leader, but he could get himself a good result at the moster TT, oh the Giro is getting close!

I'm so psyched for cobbles I haven't gotten wrapped up in the Giro yet.
But yes, he is riding it. Not positive Tommy D is the leader just yet but I am so hoping he gets things mentally squared away so that he can help support C in the climbs at the Tour. If C can get some more solid suppoort there, I’m going to be thrilled!!!
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
I love TD and he's a great rider.
I just don’t think he’s meant to be the GC guy. I think he, at least mentally, as it would take that pressure off of him which seems to cause him issues, is really meant to be that ultimate domestique that you know you can count on. And I wish that would be okay for him to focus on it that way. I think he would be excellent and still be able to get some results for himself in that manner of planning. Heart the guy but that pressure is just not for everyone.
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
Yeah I just don't see it in him
he was the rider I went back and fourth with the most during my VDS picking, in the end I just couldn’t pick him because I don’t think he will score all the much but I hope he does well.
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
Oh I'm pumped for cobbles as well
but think of it this way, the closer the Giro is the closer Flanders is! 3 weeks today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
Now I'm even more mad that I couldn't pick T. Martin for my VDS
that coupled with Klodi showing me it was very dumb to leave him out VDS made up of every other German all-star but him. Errr, oh well nice result for Martin, never thought in a million years he would win a mountains jersey in a big race like this.
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
Yeah about Martin
Of course we forgot to put Tony Martin on the VDS list, remember so don’t bang your head too much! Save that for missing Klodi. ;) As a general rule, I think when picking the cheaper VDS guys (below 10 points in cost) to use chrono abilities as a general tie breaker, all else being equal.
If they keep scoring I'll be more happy then angry
because well, that means they are winning.
I don't know if you knew this, CTV is run by Bernard Madoff
Very nice!
I got a big 65 from P-N, for a total so far of 695.
He has no charisma--Thomas Dekker, on Cadel Evans
most excellent!
i think i got 333 for P-N, if ursula’s numbers are right…
You may very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment.
664 here
Are there points for the jerseys?
Come on, man. I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man!
Yes and I included them
The three lesser jerseys, KOM, points, young rider, are all 60-40-20 points for the top three.
add 80 then
744 then…
I like me some LL Sanchez.
Come on, man. I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man!
or were these already accounted for...?
Come on, man. I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man!

436 for me
Just happy to get some kind of points since I had 10 going to the race… But I also got Kloden on my team … so will have a little love fro T-A.
VDS: Riders with the best rates of return so far
Returns per point spent
2-pointers:
Kevyn Ista—100 (on 0 teams)
Antonio Colom—92.5 (on 37 teams)
Ruben Plaza Molina—82.5 (on 1 team)
1-pointers:
Jonathan Hivert—105 (1 team)
Pieter Weening—100 (21 teams)
Graeme Brown—80 (on 42 teams)
Xavier Tondo—80 (3 teams)
Nobody else has broken the 67 points per point spent barrier, but a few are close.
To date, 5747 points have been distributed out of 6282 available (the other 535 going to riders who weren’t on the list). Still another 1531 to come from Tirreno-Adriatico, where the 14 people who picked Kloden could end up quite happy…or not, depending on what happens tomorrow.

nicoises podium girls
Anybody notice their very un-cote-d’azur attire? They were pretty and all – but just jeans and tshirts. So funny for Nice – maybe trying to live down the reputation here. Not complaining, i just found it ironic.
