Stuey "HtFU" O'Grady will miss the rest of the spring
Stuey O, everyones favorite hardman, has been told that he is done for the classics season. His crash 29 KM into Milan San Remo has cost him dearly. The early diagnosis of bruises has been updated to a fractured rib [edit], collar bone and an edema between the lung and ribs, which required surgery. The surgery appears successful, but further invasive work may be required. Although the injuries are being down played, the earliest the Aussie speedster might be able to return is 30 days. Full details here at Cyclingnews.com and here at Team Saxo Bank.

It's a fractured Rib not Hip...probably typo, but such different injuries..
And yes i’m upset that I won’t get to see my SexyBank boy riding the cobbles.. Get well Stuey and hoping for a quick recovery..
My question is who is going to replave him in April??
On a good note for SexyBank, JJ Haedo won the GP Cholet.. Some good news finally.
Now to get to Europe and bring those SexyBank boys some goodluck …HaHa
We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.

umm yeah I'll fix that..
It better explains the edema… it’s what I get for reading in the early am after a long shift.

Very odd feeling. It's a strange kind of impotent rage
…probably best expressed by the statement: “Just Not effing FAIR!”
sigh
It did strike me as odd, when the first report came out stating ‘no fractures, all good’. … Now hang on, Stuey abandoned and was carted off in an ambulance. STUEY abandoned. This is Stuey we’re talking about here. Mr Finish-the-stage-with-a-fractured-clavicle-‘Well-my-legs-weren’t-broken-were-they?’ O’Grady.
Bugger. Just bugger.
I thought exactly the same
when I read the “not injured” reports. Stuey’s the sort of guy who would break his own leg in the ambulance rather than miraculously recover on the trip to hospital.
Holy sh*t...
There’s a pic on Cor Vos – under ‘100e Milano – Sanremo part 3’, it’s the third picture (00013345-018). Umm… am I mis-interpreting this, or did the man actually get back on the bike and try to keep going?
Looks like he did. Caption translates (via Google, anyway) as "Stuart O'Grady after fall"
And yeah. Damn. That’s hardened.
One of the sweetest things today was seeing Tom Boonen go past me backwards on the climbs. .--Mark Cavendish, MSR
