Contador + Clement + Menchov = 305
Not bad. I’m glad to see Clement start contributing.
Ô col Bayard, Ô Tourmalet, à côté du Galibier, vous êtes de la pale et vulgaire bibine !

Top 3 on TT/GC. CVV just couldn’t hang on to 10th… :(
same deal for me.
not a bad pull. Thanks TT

I'm on board for this haul.
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Congratulations--I think that puts you 5 points ahead of me.
One of the sweetest things today was seeing Tom Boonen go past me backwards on the climbs. .--Mark Cavendish, MSR
Okay I figured it out
Yeah- I’m five points ahead of you! whoo-hoo!
You’ll kill me in the rest of the cobbles though.
Oh, I hope so!
I mean, may our worthy riders all strive to the limits of their excellence, and bring honor to their teams. (Mine just a little more than yours.)

Wait while I screen cap this...
In case I get the pleasure of whacking you over the head with it later when Leenoos, Lovkvist, and Schleck the Younger start raking in stage race points.

Double Argh!
I messed up Bert. The top five:
Hushovd- 525
Haussler- 510
Contador- 473
Cavendish- 435
Boonen- 370
More Bert
He’s still on track for 1000 points before his first Grand Tour race. He’s still got Pais Vasco and Dauphine in his date book. In other words, Tom Boonen could win both Flanders and P-R and still be barely ahead of Contador before July when Bert starts collecting points in earnest. And that’s true for all these sprinters and cobbles guys who are near or at the top right now.
Yeah but he's a pervert dude
Did your favourite rider just win Montepaschi Strade Bianch Eroica Toscana? OK then.
Dios mio man. Levi and me, we're gonna f*** you up

Nothing for me. My team doesn't do Spanish stage races, apparently.
But my husband’s team pulled in 300 for Levi and DZ.

oh lookee, VDS points.
Let me tally ‘em up, let’s see…
195…mumble, mumble, plus the 40 on the mumble, mumble and then there’s the top ten, mumble, mumble minus the mumble, mumble equals a grand total of
SQUAT!!!
Is it April yet?
right click, refresh
Still March. But our boy Haussler is racing again this weekend, so don't wish the month away just yet.

Just for fun
Want to take a guess at the price Haussler will be next year? If he did nothing else this year, I’d put him at 8 or 10 points. Where will he top out? (I have to think on this.)
I was thinking about the exact same thing today
He’ll be a lot more expensive next year. That’s for sure.
All my guys racking in points here
I had three men in this race and they all contributed to the 225 points it brought me. Cobo got rid of the vicious zero behind his name in the process. The guy will probably only ride Spanish stage rages this season but for only 2 points I can’t complain.
I expect great things from him this year
He already equalled last year’s total VDS scoring. That must be a good sign. I am desperately looking for good signs.
conta+zab+clement = 335
sheer luck. Curious to see if that moves me up or down. Everyone’s got conta. I suppose plenty have conta + LL or conta + valverde, so who knows?
Only Zabriskie
for 110. I didn’t choose very well I guess. There is always next year.Has anyone seen Michael Rogers out there?

Rock Racing on the VDS Board! Anarchy in the hizzzouusse.
I’ve been waiting to say that all year. Carry on.
Ha! My team is so strong I don't even have to score any points in C&Y

makin bank
445…I have a feeling that choosing Leipheimer is gonna pay off as the season goes on.
I agree
I, of course, did not choose him. I thought he would pay third fiddle all year being forced to get water bottles for everyone else on the team. now the Giro has opened up in front of him and he has the opportunity to rake in the points.
As an aside, I have never been a big fan of Levi. He seemed like one big platitude conjoined with an awful TT position that I could not bear to watch. But as the seasons go on and he lightens up I am starting to like him a lot more. he even attacks from time to time and that is refreshing to see. I only say this because he does get an awful ribbing from time to time. Glad I got that off my chest.

that was guaranteed
I’m no fan of the little bald nugget, but that doesn’t stop me from recognizing his talent. Money in the VDS bank.
A disaster
Last year the 25 guys on my squad ruled this vuelta. Contador, Dekker, Soler, Kroon and Zeke were good for 595 points. The 225 of this year looks rather bleak in comparison. I blame it on the absence of real mountains in this edition. And on Dekker’s everlasting form crisis…
On Leipheimer...
I also agree @aust- Levi is hard to hate, but also hard to love. I guess he is sort of a bike racers bike racer, he goes to work and gets the job done, but rarely shoots any fireworks. That said, I picked him because of his performance in the vuelta. He is overshadowed by Contador and rightfully so, but he is often overlooked. If he goes for the win, he should be a serious threat in the Giro…..and if that fails I’ve always got Cunego, who I picked more for the Ardennes and Worlds than for any Grand Tour.
