E3 Prijs Vlaanderen... LIVE!

One thing I truly love about Cycling is how the season starts at the low ebb and just keeps building. Yeah, there are a few crests (de Ronde, anyone?), with some lulls in between, but so far this season has just been slowly getting more and more interesting. Save for Milano Sanremo, an island of greatness in a sea of preseason intrigue, the E3 Prijs is shaping up to be the toughest battle of the season so far, with an elite peloton on hand for the fight. No race is guaranteed to deliver, but this really should be an excellent event.

Cycling.TV comes on at 6:30am Pacific, and I would guess the cameras click on sometime shortly after. See you then.

Found one

here (in Flemish, which Google Translate spells D-U-T-C-H).

Current situation: Steve Chainel (BBox), David Boucher (Landbouwkrediet) Lieuwe Westra (Vacansoleil) and Jean Zen (Palmans) have 4 minutes on the peloton. Vytautas Kaupas (Revor-Jartazi) is halfway between the leading group and in the pack.

Oh, and while the start was sunny, it has started to rain.

Angel Gomez Gomez is, however, on the startlist.

Rain. Cobbles. Senor Doodsmak. Anyone else hiding their eyes before the video even starts?

(And that must be the last post on the matter, otherwise I’ll have to deal with repercussions here. So many bullies on this site.)

Watch out folks

cycling.tv is actually working for me today……..just in time to see that fellow taking a wee. Is one of his teammates up in the break? A bit late getting here so don’t know who is off the front.

Eikenberg next!

About 63k to go, three riders in the breakaway, who have a 5:34 gap. They caught McEwan, I think.

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
