PrintA question: by the end of today, will the pro peloton have seen every climb of next week's Tour of Flanders at least once already? Take the climbs of Het... Nieuwsblad, Dwars door Vlaanderen, E3 Prijs, KBK and Brabantse Pijl. And this stage. Is that everything? I specifically recall that Dwars covered the earlier climbs well, E3 the middle section and today the finale.
Anyway, there is a certain beauty to how the cobbles season unfold. It's not just a practical matter of wanting to preview the ascents. It's as if the entire six weeks are all an homage to de Ronde. OK, it's Tuesday and I'm already getting punchy. More frites? Enjoy.
