Nice payoff for my two point investment. Thanks, Sergei!
(And oh, look, Nuyens showed up.)
NOS still has this:
1- Sergej Ivanov, 2- Karsten Kroon, 3- Robert Gesink, 4- Philippe Gilbert, 5- Damiano Cunego, 6- Christophe Riblon, 7- Nicholas Roche, 8- Nick Nuyens, 9- Christian Pfannberger, 10 Gustav Larsson

Let's speed it up
I’ll just email them my team and they can pick names from that list
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
Thanks jens.
So far in the Eds league you have Gilbert, I have Kolobnev, Sui Juris has Ivanov.. Clydesdale has squat.
Is that going to keep you sidelined for the season
or can you take penicilin for that?
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
isn't it past your bed time youngster..

Youngster? Nooo.. Jens has to be old... 40+

You must be stomped on like a bug.
And as soon as I lace up my orthopedic shoes and find my walker, I’m on it.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
Hhaha.. I better start running then!

CQ just has the top 5 at the moment.... same with Steephill
I take it then that the race folks are notcing that they have the 6-10 results wrong.
Maybe VeloNews has the results?

funny I was just there and must have missed it by seconds...

Zank 'Evans for ze other game
How come I have scored pretty much the same in both, even though the other only gives me sixteen players chosen after someone else has snagged the best ones.
I reckon my 0 in the proper game ahs probably dropped me below Frinking and Mr Majope, and maybe one of the other three or four who were below me this morning. In other words I can’t go down any faster. Look, Mum, terminal velocity. I just hope I’m going fast enough for a good solid dead cat bounce. Otherwise I only have Pietro Caucchioli and Mikael Cherel to save me.
Thats at least 3 for me
I should get some sort of mid season prize.

KROOOOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOOOON!
Kroon!
Wow, now I’m 3rd from the bottom of the rankings, up one place. Ooh, watch out, boys, Oscarito, Robbie and Sastre are actually going to start racing now!!!!!
230: Gilbert and Little Schleck.

He finished well out of the points, but it looks like Dekker didn't suck completely today.
Came in 30th, more than 3 minutes ahead of Evans. Might bode well for the rest of the Ardennes.

620
Ivanov, Gesink, Gerran, Nuyens.
Best showing of the season, so far. Back to nothing in short order, I expect.
435
Gesink, Cunego, Gerrans, Albasini
I’ll take it. I’d have liked the win, but if Cunego can get it done next Sunday I’ll be very happy.
Sorry Semp, might be bad then after all :-D
I gots me 270 with Bobo and Anonymous Nick Nuens
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
i don't think is bad for me
because when a guy who values 8 or 12 (Gesink), finished at front of Cunego, Valverde is always good for me. The same with LLSancez-Contador in P-N.

Sorry Sempre, I'm just screwing with ursula
saying that if you had exactly the same as him that might be bad because urulas team is baaaad.
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
lol
honestly my team (riders) had been perfect, i think better is almost impossible.
Hushovd, the Big Haussler, and LLSanchez, all had been great. Chavanel a little better than last year, and Bughardt too. Menchov doing some good points.
For Ardennes week i don’t have a big contender, only Gesink and Sam Sam for some points. So a 3th place, is very good.:)

Soooooo,,,
Are those the last points Nuyens will make this year? He’s off to a long vacation till the next Het Niewsgblad, right? :-D
Shut the fuck up Donny
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
130 Gerrans + Sanchez
I have a feeling that my tenure with the crown is directly related to how quickly Chris updates the spreadsheet.
300
Kroon and Gerrans
Those are Gerran’s first points right? THat would mean I’m down to just 3 riders who haven’t scored points this year.
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Yup, Gerrans first points.
And dang, I still have 13 riders who haven’t scored yet. But just you wait until they do…
"Sean Kelly? Sorry, I am not so good with cycling history. I just want to race." --Edvald Boasson Hagen
Whoops, I confused Gerrans with Gadret - so I only have 200 pts
The riders I still have that need to score is actually 5 -
Casar – he keep just missing
Svein Tuft – great rider but a little over his head this year
Trent Lowe – I figure his only chance is to pick up a stage somewhere
Andre Greipel – I thought he’s score in the classics so I think he’s done for the year
John Gadret – maybe a stage later this year?
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Greipel could still do something.
He scored nothing in the classics last year—only VDS points came from stage wins in the Giro and Deutschland Tour. It wasn’t scored last year, but if it had been he would have picked up 100 points in Benelux for a stage win and 5th overall. As a 2-pointer, he doesn’t have to do much to earn his keep.
Tuft: if the Worlds had been Cat 2 last year, his 2nd in the TT would have been worth 300 points, and he’d have picked up 100 for being Canadian TT champ. Even if he doesn’t place as high in the Worlds, he should pick up points there, and in stage race ITTs and TTTs—Garmin is targeting the TTTs so should bring him along to at least one GT.
As for the others, Gadret hadn’t scored either by this point last year; Casar had 40 points from P-V; Lowe didn’t score at all.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
Tuft & Lowe were flyers on my part
I figured Gadret was worth at least a couple stages at some point.
I was sure Casar would have a better season so far. At the end of the day, though I can’t complain too much at this point. If Greipel can get me 100 points over the rest of the season I would be happy.
Top 30 is good for me at this point heading into the Tour season. Plus I’m happy with my 30.47 points per credit so far. I’, hoping to end up between 75-85 ppc for the year
BTW to get to 15k will require an average of 100 points per credit
I think 112750is possible though and that is 85 points per credit
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
The would be 12750 is possible @ 85 ppc
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Still have 7 guys who haven't scored
Don’t expect many points out of three of them, but Millar, O’Grady, and Clerc still without points.
I still have 12 who haven't scored
yet am in 25th place. So not too bad, I guess….
Oops, make that 11
with Gerrans getting points in Amstel Gold
350 in the VDS
165 in the Editors Leaga
Slow but steady… I’ll take it.
"…I saw bloody Cavendish coming, really fast…"

390
Kroon – Cunego – Vaugrenard
I was very happy with Nick Roche for a short while :-(
No points from Dekker and Gasparotto but at least they proved they are still alive.
so was i...
but then Gerrans took his place in the points so i was fine with that too
You may very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment.
I think this race saved my Ardennes campaign
which I had written off as a VDS black hole….455…..Kroon, Gilbert (thanks for showin up for the finish this time), Pffanberger, Albasini
260 in this league :: 50 in the Ed. league...
Not a bad showing at all for this league, actually… I’m quite happy with it. I had Gerrans, Nuyens and Little Schleck here. My next to last pick, Vaugrenard, came through with 50 points in the Ed. League, thereby increasing my point total over there by nearly 15% at one blow. I’m going to go to Restoration Hardware at lunch and start picking out red lanterns.
When does my editor’s league team return from Injured Reserve?
Dude... why WOULDN'T Thor ride the chicken?
You get your guys back for the great Eschborn-Frankfurt City Lauf!
I love the title to that race. I want to use it in as many posts as possible before May 1.
4 donuts in a row!
I really don’t have many guys for this week and am not looking forward to my VDS placing come next Monday.

Thomas Dekker
In an interview on his website he said “,,Ik had zondag met hetzelfde gemak in de top-10 kunnen eindigen. Het was geen punt om voor Gilbert te rijden, al was het wel lekker geweest om een keer achtste te worden, voor de grap.”
My translation: I could easily have finished top-10 last sunday. It was not point at all to ride for Gilbert’s chances but it would have been nice to come in 8th for a change, just for fun".
My VDS team would have liked that too! Let’s hope he can do something nice in the other races this week.
I'm confused
was he ok with riding for Gilbert to win rather than riding for a possible top 10 for himself. Is that how you should read it?
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
Yes he was OK with riding for Phil
He had no qualms about it.
It was no bother.
It wasn’t a point of contention.
