At the location of the crash they have erected a memorial stone to eternalize the location of this dramatic moment in history. As you can see the statue consists of an old bicycle in concrete. The sign reads: The collarbone of Armstrong.
Somehow I really like this initiative. Partly satire, partly plain commercial instinct. Can you imagine American tourists visiting this place? I can.
500 years ago the village did something similar when they erected a monument in memory of the broken wrist of one of the carriers of King Phillip I.
