My team is going backwards faster then Wegmann on the Huy
thanks to Wegmann going back so fast on the Huy. So not his finish but at least he’s gotten over that flu he had during AG. 105 for me, Gerrans is the only one keeping me from complete embarrassment. Were the hell are you Bert!!!!
In Chauncey we trust!
Is he riding anywhere
before the Dauphine Libere? I don’t believe so…
Here's to hoping
That he can’t be bothered to ride the Vuelta.
+100 ;)
as one of the what, 10 teams? that don’t have Bert, would be happy for him to go to the beach during the Vuelta
Why wouldn't he go to the Vuelta
even if he wins the Tour? Admittedly, if he wins the Tour, he might be talked into riding for Levi (or Lance, if Lance can’t make the Giro and decides to go to the Vuelta). But what else is AC going to do after the Tour? I have a tough time believing he’ll say, ok, my season’s done…
Why would he do the Vuelta?
He’s said flat out that he only cares about the Tour and all of his preparation is aimed at that. So far, he hasn’t ruled out the Vuelta, but he skipped it the year he won the Tour—and if he wins again I just don’t see the incentive to put himself through another 3-week GT.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
Cold hard cash?
Rubbing Lance’s nose in the fact that he is no longer the worlds greatest stageracer?
Or what?
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
getting points for my VDS team
what else is there?
3, 5, 8, 15
for 425
thanks, guys! and nice to see Gerrans up there again!
You may very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment.
At least I didn't pull the goose egg - 15 points for C. A. Sorensen
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
i did.

No one I see has Lelay or Hermans.
I think I'm going to be sick
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
Ahhh, don't cry ursula
Klöden won a stage in Trentino………just a quick check if its a VDS race………………………………NOPE! Bwahahahahahahahah
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
Yeah
Did you hear why Kloden was skipping Romandie?
Because he didn’t want to do a team time trial.
He should have asked me at least. Sheeeeech.
"didn’t want to do a team time trial"?
How lame a coverup is that? He should have just come right out and said it: “I’m doing it to screw over ursula”
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
Remember my previous statistic?
I believe I may be at the ^10 now. ANOTHER FUCKING DONUT? Come on… can’t the Giro just freakin’ start already??!?!
Someone shoot Marvin in the face.
Dude... why WOULDN'T Thor ride the chicken?
You ain't got no problems, Dan. I'm on the motherfucker.
Go back in there, chill them vds’ers out and wait for the cavalry, which should be comin’ directly.
Moreover, it is my opinion that Alejandro Valverde is an asshole who should not be allowed to compete in bikeraces right now.
oh, I thought your anti-sick strategy
was to miss the boat entirely. It had been working out so well . . .
I have excellent sealegs
Had I been on a boat I would have been OK. It’s standing on the shore watching the Ship of Fools sail off on the horizon that is having an upsetting effect.

1 person has Lelay. He's listed under Le Lay.

Muahaha the curse of El Fares!
Cunego for me :)

Call the office, you made your DS happy today.
Oh my, I've just fallen in love with Roger De Vlaeminck's sideburns.
isn't that
510? i checked because my guys got 425 with 3, 5, 8, 15
You may very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment.
Whoa, you're right. Thanks for the catch.
I was never very good at geography ;-).
I think that’s the first time I topped 500…or 410 for that matter.
suck it, fixie h8rz
470
Andy, Damiano, Gerrans.
Gerrans joins the 67p club.
Ardennes > cobbles.
Ô col Bayard, Ô Tourmalet, à côté du Galibier, vous êtes de la pale et vulgaire bibine !
And Gerrans has now scored more points this year than he earned last year.
Uh-oh, that means he will not be at bargain basement price next season…
Mon coeur appartient à les forçats de la route.
Albasini also joins the 67p club
though barely (by 1 point)
I'm of the opinion that the key club will be the 80 pt club of which there are very few members
HH
and probable 2 or three others, but ’m too lazy right now to find them quickly
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland

Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
yeah
I’m kinda doubting 12000 will be enough to win. Though, maybe. The points are coming fast and furious, but as ursula pointed out, April is the most point-laden month of the season…
Not sure where the points will end up at the end of the season.
They are running 1000+ higher than last year at this time, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the inflation will continue. Take Haussler, for instance—he’s on more than 80 teams and scored early and often, so much of the bump could be due just to him. Contador is on even more teams and is scoring faster than he did last year.
But while HH will continue to score something, his best points are probably behind him, and we don’t know where Contador might end up because he hasn’t confirmed whether he’s doing the Vuelta or not. So it’s still unclear to me where the VDS points ceiling will be.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
Good points
though we do have more races this year, right? So, all else being equal, I’d expect the scoring to go up. Though by how much, I’m not sure.
If you’re right (from the other thread) that AC won’t do the Vuelta, then certainly that would offset his early season scoring this year vis-a-vis last year. Probably more than offset it, in fact…
Van Impe, not Hulsmans
Two more without owners:
Kevyn Ista—100 (on 0 teams)
Johnny Hoogerland 80 (on 0 teams)
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
To hit a goal of 12,000 EVERY rider on your team has to return 80 for each point spent.
No matter what they cost. It takes longer for the guys who cost more to earn out, because they have to accumulate that many more points—nobody who cost more than 6 points has done it yet, but they will.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
Technically, not everybody
you only need to have your riders average 80 pps.
Absolutely--average. Lopex seemed to be suggesting that you could do it
if only the more expensive guys produced.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
It's quite hard to do that for all your 150 points
last year there were some very expensive riders who managed it, and lots of one and two pointers, but a pretty huge desert in between.
I'm using 80 points due to several factors
1) I’m guestimating the added races are worth the 13 point increase over the 67 average for 12000 to win instead of 10K last year.
2) A lot more info about riders and VDS potential that meant people picked better so more will have higher numbers this year
c) 12000 seems very achievable at this point with ~35% of points awarded
d) I like 80 more than 75 as a reference point
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
I just did the tally and I'm at 31.93 ppc to date with 4789 points through today
So far I have:
4 ride over 60 ppc
2 over 70
1 over 80
1 over 490 (HH)
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
I've only got 7 over 60
but 4 of those are over 80 (including HH). All are low pointers though: Lulu tops them out at 6 points.
I still have 11 riders sans points…
Are those mutually exclusive or inclusive totals?
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
sorry inclusive
8 over 60 (five of which are over 80). Wish there was an edit feature on here.
Interms of rider value I don't have many over 10 points
Condi is at 34.56 ppc (25)
Cav – 25.75 (20)
Levi – 10.56 (18)
My two 10 pointers are each at 4 pps, everyone else is 6 points or less. I have 5 non-scores at this point.
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Kroon should be the first 6 pointer over 80 ppc
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
for me - Lu Lu has done it already
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Sam Sam plus Gerans => 250
As my father would say “better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick”
That’s a good thing in case it’s not clear…
320 for Schleck II and Lovkvist.
At least they did better than Amstel.
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
I think that next year I'll just call my team Norway
DS Terry Wogan
360 for Wee Schleck, Simon Says and Ricky Rinaldo.
I continue to have solid showings, very nice… in this league that is. Don’t know if I can really contend since I don’t have Contador.
Dude... why WOULDN'T Thor ride the chicken?
No Bert here as well
Agree with you about the ability to contend without Contador. Guess I have to hope for Cunego to win the Giro, Gesink to do well in TdF and win Vuelta. Wouldn’t that be nice!
It sure would
since I have both Cunego and Gesink, that would be most beneficial to my team. Especially if Contador, who I also have, wins the TdF and rides the Vuelta ;-)
Just ran the number... 4100 points for me so far this season (incl. AGR and Fleche)...
Where as at this time last year I had 2300. That’s over a 78% improvement in scoring for my team.
Eeeeeexcellent.
Dude... why WOULDN'T Thor ride the chicken?
This must be a record VDS one-day race
If you divide the total spoils by the total cost of the scorers.
The top 7 are all big studs costing at least 14 points. With a total of 139 they average only slightly below 20 points each. This is the VDS heavyweight classic. No pesky 2-pointers to sneak in and steal top positions here.
Not only is playing this fun..
I just bought PSP TdF 2008 game, I love it … it’s pretty cool to offer contracts, plan fitness regime etc… and i think i pissed Frankie off as he didn’t like my contract offer LoL

Out of curiosity
What did you offer him? A low wage and free trips to Australia?
Oh my, I've just fallen in love with Roger De Vlaeminck's sideburns.

I lowered the monthly wage, different to what came up
he said no, i then only changed a little, then now no talking LoL… Very annoyed, but maybe if we could add our own contract requirements all would have been different i’m sure… If I offered him free trips to australia, i’m sure he would have signed for less money :-))
