CycleGirls Spring Classics Thread #2
Where to start, Well after G-W it was time to have a few days of watching everyone else ride around Belgium. This wasn't a bad thing as it gave me more time to taste the Belgium Beers. So here are a couple of things that happened prior to Paris-Roubaix.
A visit to Arenberg forest, and a few other cobbled sections, which I couldn't ride, but was happy once i saw the following teams that morning: Liquigas, Garmin, Katusha, Quickstep, Milram and Lampre...
Oh and the mum and daughter Leopard outfits in the background were reporters for something, still trying to figure out who would send this pair to interview the riders... hehehe Albertina had the pleasure of seeing them too.a chat with Paris-Roubaix winner Servais Knaven, and I had a bad photographer who missed the all important photo shot, Servais giving me a Podium Kiss, can you believe the photographer didn't even tell me he missed the shot.. Could have had another Podium Kiss from him ...LoL
A little wave from the rest of Milram
Kemmelberg cobbles, even though they won't be riding this section
The morning was topped of with watching the whole Quickstep Team on a training ride, this was awesome...
Then that afternoon we visited the Paris-Roubaix Velodrome... This was so exciting and sad as well, especially watching the rest of the guys riding around the velodrome and I couldn't... Very annoyed... So a beer was had to get over that..
The next day was Paris-Roubaix, what an amazing day... I was lucky enough to see the race from about 5 different spots finishing in another VIP tent at the
Le Carrefour de l'Arbre, But I spent most of this time outside on the side of the road and enjoying the Party Atmosphere that is the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix...
Funny how after drinking Champagne and Beer that my Arm felt great that afternoon, it was the next day i regretted dancing so much..

Another highlight was the visit to the Leifmans Brewery of Oudenaarde, Highlight was tasting the Cherry Beer and Golden Band Blond Beer straight from the Vats, oh and the free Beer before and after... Yummy
Oh and thought that you might like the name of these chocolates my friend Julie found, it made us giggle..
Ok, there was plenty more that happened during the cycling tour, but that will all have to wait... agreat time was had, and now it was time for my adventures on my own...

Nice photos.
I’m a little jealous.
I hope your arm is well, and I find that those little mistakes on the bike are the worst. Nobody ever goes down doing something serious and exciting, usually when we least expect it.

facebook says video unavailable
and that it has either been removed or is not available due to privacy concerns (after I logged in). Great report and photos. Can’t wait for the future installments.

Oh, well. Why not stick them up on YouTube?
You need to do this race two or three times before you can win, despite what Cunego showed us last year: winning in his first try--Frank Schleck, on Amstel Gold
