Flanders C.TV Problems Here
HEY! Cycling TV!!!
Watch this thread and respond to problems here so that we can keep it out of the live thread. In fact, here's a problem to get you started...
You guys charged me my $99 subscription payment yesterday (even though I tried to find ways to keep you from getting my money), and even though you dinged me that money, the horrible and impossible to decipher "Profile" screen says "You don't own any packages."
Sure enough, when I went to check the Media Player, everything shows as "Premium" and I can't get anything.
I expect that this oversight will be resolved within the next 5 hours or I will expect that you have committed fraud and STOLEN my money without giving me anything in return. I have sent an email to the team@ email address. My account is dhienzsch at yahoo dot com.
Fix it. Now.

Hahhaha hahahaahahahahaha ha.
You got robbed.
By a four year old.
Well, in Dan's defence, it wasn't very easy to see this coming.

your username & clear password?
yeah that’s security for you.
Dearest Harold...
I will refrain from all personal attacks and keep this strictly to the matter at hand. My account information is listed above and was reported last night to Cycling TV’s customer service team. I have had no response from anyone.
I tried to ensure that my account would NOT be renewed by Cycling TV, but Cycling TV renewed it anyway through PayPal somehow. Cycling TV took $100 from me and gave me nothing in return.
I am quite annoyed at that. Obviously. No one else I know just… takes… $100 from me and gives me nothing in return. I find that annoying. Hence, my annoyance.
My desire to watch the Tour of Flanders should be obvious from the last time we had a string of threads, when I asked that as a test, Cycling TV provide the ability to login and watch at high bandwidth an uninterrupted feed of Flanders. Obviously, CTV failed that test.
Cancel my account and refund my $100 immediately.
Dude... why WOULDN'T Thor ride the chicken?

LoPan isn't happy?
Crashdan: "Veni Vidi Vici beats Wing Kong Exchange... … and I’ll change my signature to a backwards smile for a month."
Franzoi wins Parijs-Roubaix and I win a date with the VDS of Team Txirrindulariak..
My apology for the inapropated joke in a serious post...
But I couldn’t withhold myself.. Hope you get your money back…

Still waiting for my refund
After I complained about the unauthorized renewal of my cycling.tv subscription, someone named Aric from Jump TV emailed on March 26 that I would be getting a refund for the unauthorized $99.99 to my paypal account.
As of today, no refund in sight.
Cycling.tv is pretty quick to take your money, but not so quick, apparently, to refund unauthorized charges.
for what it's worth
I also had my subscription renewed after trying to make certain it wouldn’t happen. It turns out the there were multiple auto-renew subscriptions with PayPal — assuming that the same may be true, in your case, I suggest you look back two or three years, at least, to ensure you catch and cancel them all.
I also had an issue with my profile not updating at the same time the money was taken. They did respond to my email and correct things but it took a few days — fortunately I didn’t miss any races in the interim.
Customer service is my main ongoing gripe with Ctv — aside from a few hassles logging on, I’ve had good luck viewing races since the early season fiascoes.
way older than Sean Kelly
these "auto-renewals" are really nasty.
a really nasty side of the age of online credit.
I’ve got an auto-renewal coming up for a magazine, but at least they sent me a letter to tell me they’d be doing it, and gave me a number to call if I didn’t want it to happen.
I feel your pain
Last year the exact same thing happened to me. I canceled and challenged them to prove their service would work. They did not accept my challenge, instead they #$%^ed you over as well. They are getting really good at everything except providing what they claim to offer.
...and the answer is:
change your credit card info at paypal – this will, for some reason cancel all your subscriptions, I mean ALL of them….if that’s not enough delete your paypal account and open another the following day.
…and this is from another disgruntled ex-subscriber, who doesn’t watch pro cycling anymore whatsoever because of the outrageously poor customer support from C.TV – They broke my fucking heart…!
I’ll watch cycling again someday – but they have to make an attempt at finding me and not the other way around.
It’s about us – not them…because without us, there’s no reason to have a bike race in the first place.
live to ride, ride to live
I successfully got my CTV autosubscription refunded
the key may be placing a dispute w/ paypal. I wrote CTV a nastygram and filed a disputed payment. CTV was pretty quick about getting back to me.
Dear Subscriber,
There has been a dispute filed on you payment though PayPal. I am not able to
issue a refund until this dispute has been removed. Please remove this and let
us know so that we can process the refund. In the meantime your account has
been activated and you will have access to your Package.
Please let us know when this hold has been removed.
Thank you,
Aric
JumpTV Support
I was suspicious about removing the dispute before getting my refund, but after it expired, I sent them an email and my money showed up on Paypal the next day.
