The long wait is over. I'm going to start a very early live thread for pre-race chatter and some early news, if there's any to discuss. See you when the video goes live.

Kroon: not satisfied with top 10, wants podium at least.
Syas: lack of wind does not automatically mean an easy race. Hopes to arrive at the Muur with 3.
Langeveld: breaking up the race is not our job.
Says he prefers to win himself, but will be very satisfied when Nick or Juan do.
Nuyens: if only one of crosses the line first, that's important
Has a dog named Pippo! Says it does look way better than the rider.
By choice
I do have a digitenne attached to my laptop that should allow me to follow the race with the NOS. That drives me into the arms of Mart Smeet, oh, the horror.
Or I can follow it on the NOS website. I’ll have to see what works better.
Van Avermaet: Kwaremont is the start, 30 man at the Muur.
Likes that he is 1 of 3 main men at SL, for the first time in this race.
Helicopters not in the air yet
because of mist. First kilometers will not be on tv. Mist will go away quickly is the forecast.

Lampre guy on the front behind the commissioners car
Won’t see that very often this afternoon. Alas, Ballan.
First flat of the race!
But still in the neutral zone. Official rules: start can not be given until everyone has rejoined.
A FdJ rider dancing up and down on his bike
Testing the tires. Could have used that floor pump, probably
a tad anxious?

Picture breaking up slightly
Going back to the studio with sideline commentary, rider analysis and pictures from last year. I’m going to put some croissants in the oven. Goeiemorgen!
Oh right, end of the first hour anyway! Switching to handball
Where’s that rolling eyes smiley when you need it?
i'll be back in a while... tnx for updates

It mentions the stream is interrupted and will be resumed 12.40 cet. Not sure about geo-restrictedness then.
Quickstep had problems with UCI before the start
Quickstep did the team presentation in retro Quickstep outfits but the UCI forbid it. They are therefore riding in their normal kit. Lefevre and the public loudly booed this decision.
hello from the top of the Muur
Got a ringside seat front row right at the final turn on the big grassy knoll. Two leffes into what is going to be a great day. Amazed at how steep it is. We’ve drove it, walkeed it and ride it on Friday. PdF party here in2010. I’ll try and figure out how to post a pic from my iPhone if I can.
Enough already!
I’m not jealous! Why would anyone think that I’m jealous! Jeebus…

Good morning, all. It's here, it's here! It's been snowing all night here, so I've woken up to a winter wonderland (again!)
But the coffee is hot and the beer is chillin’ in the ’fridge, so all is well in the world this morning.
Please keep the snow away and the beer close by!
Thinking hard - really hard - of something witty to say....
Gotta love that cheer
Because at this point in the year? “Winter wonderland” is not what comes to mind.
Agreed. Cabin fever comes to mind....

Yes, and it's FABULOUS.
