And the Snuggie goes to...

Two winners! Lopex and Teh Grind Crusher, both of whom picked winner Stijn Devolder. Congrats guys! Contact me offline to make arrangements for receiving your loot.

Felt Guy, Phil H, Majope, Tschawytcha, mpw5, cyclegirl, Seamus O, Ruthann, On the Rivet, and tgartner all picked Haussler for second. 4estru and Logy picked Gilbert third. No entry contained more than one correct choice. Don't feel bad, it's a very had race to predict. More prizes later.

Worst pickup line ever

“Hey, want to see my snuggie?”

No longer that I call them tights, I call them freedom ware.

When I wear my snuggie

I won’t need pickup lines!!!

by Lopex on Apr 6, 2009 3:12 AM EDT up reply actions

No you won't, no you won't

But since you are dutch I will help you with the grammar. The phrase you perhaps should use is "When I wear my snuggie pickup lines will not help me!!!

by Jens on Apr 6, 2009 3:20 AM EDT up reply actions

um have you seen a snuggie?

wonder if snuggie means something else…

by lyne on Apr 6, 2009 3:28 AM EDT up reply actions

I have no idea what a snuggie is actually

But I won one, so i’ll treasure it the rest of my life…

by Lopex on Apr 6, 2009 3:34 AM EDT up reply actions

Ah, Google just enlightenen me

But anything with the \o/ logo must be extremely cool to wear…

by Lopex on Apr 6, 2009 3:37 AM EDT up reply actions

By the way

I have worn bathrobes in public so a snuggie is totally doable…

by Lopex on Apr 6, 2009 3:40 AM EDT up reply actions

well wear it reverse and you got yourself another bathrobe :)

oh and please take lots of photos when you do wear it outside

Congrats to winners

my apologies to Cancellarra fans … I jinxed him by selecting him to win

Fear not...

In a weeks’ time, he shall be a force impervious to jinxing.

Heh- if nothing else, he will hit that line first propelled by the force of my will, LOL

OK, confession time

I am actually Teh Grind Crusher. I have been posting under false alias. Chris , can you mail me my snuggie to Sweden very very quickly before someone hijacks the “Teh Grind Crusher”-identity and deviously tries to rob me of my prize.

by Jens on Apr 6, 2009 3:24 AM EDT reply actions

And since I'm coming completely clean

I thought I would show you all what I really look like:

Way to blow the opportunity for entertaining the rest of us, Chris

As far as I know, there was only one \o/ snuggie. Which obviously means, in the even of a tie, that there should be a snug-off. And since this is a very democratic site, it would have fallen to the rest of us to decide exactly what means. But nooo, you just had to go and award a prize to both of them.

Despot.

by Sui Juris on Apr 6, 2009 9:18 AM EDT reply actions

Coup!

Sui, disable Chris’ editor account before he reads this. Then you can take over and host the snug-off! Democracy! Liberty and Justice and \o/ Snuggies for all!

Thanks again to Veloki for allowing use of the logo to be used on the snuggies for the contest.

I also want one and I’m too stupid to earn one by guessing the podium…

Devolder one… I never ever could imagine that…

Crashdan: "Veni Vidi Vici beats Wing Kong Exchange... … and I’ll change my signature to a backwards smile for a month."
Franzoi wins Parijs-Roubaix and I win a date with the VDS of Team Txirrindulariak..

It's a basic forecaster's rule of thumb

If you have no idea, just predict the same as last year. That works quite often.

The vendor nearest to you would be me, you’d have to bring big bucks though. Or a Pinarello…

OMG

If I land in Amsterdam next March and the airport is full of PdC snuggies… I might cry.

This has probably been linked to before in these parts but it is Snuggie Gold...

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
