Kenny van Hummel and Skil
Just want to give some love to Kenny and the Skil team. Another win at the Batavus Pro Race today. He is getting fast at the right time. It would be great for him and this team to show well in July at the Tour. Skil has done just as much to combat performance enhancing substances in pro cycling than some of the bigger teams (Garmin, Columbia, etc.). This is what got them invited to the TdF in the first place. Here is to them taking a stage from the big boys. Comments?

It would be a long shot but I have seen crazier things...They are quite a young team
They only have one guy that was born in the 70’s…if you count December 27 1979 the 70’s still…It’ll be interesting to see how they do though. Van Hummel would have to be going the fastest he has ever gone to have a chance over Cav and co…Hopefully he can be competitive
Fumy Beppu
is on the provisional Tour team for Skil-Shimano….and am keeping my fingers crossed that he will be on the Tour team!
I would be surprised...
if he didn’t make the team. He is a good rider, has good experience, and being Japanese would be good for Shimano as a sponsor no?
And another win for him
He beat Brown in the sprint of the Dutch Food Valley Classic (that must be the most hideous name for a race worldwide, surely beats Eschborn Frankfurt City Loop).

Formerly Veenendaal-Veenendaal
as I’m sure you know. Some nice looping over the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, my standard training roads.

I plan to move to Utrecht next year
I’d like to know everything about your training roads then.

And another win in a Dutch 'classic'
van Hummel beats Bauman and Roelandts in the Tour de Rijke. Brown fell in 30 clicks before the finish line. Leezer sprinted for Rabo and came in fourth.

He is really riding well.
He is beating some quality sprinters in these races. I fully expect to see him mixing it up in the TdF in July.
