Giro d'Italia Stage 14... Live!!
Well this should be a rollicking good time. Which is a little annoying, as we head into week three: I want the main course from now on! But then, if Danilo DiLuca steals the stage on the final climb, as everyone expects, maybe we really are enjoying the main course. Alright then... five climbs on the menu. Enjoy!

*Lotto are maybe saving their energy
so they can make some money helping Bruyneel out in the final week?
Well not all of lotto
One SD, and i’m sure cadel wouldn’t like it

they don't like the Giro is my take.
as for Cadel, why he didn’t leave last year is beyond me.
but then again, one can argue Lotto has good reasons to want a sprinter who can bring them some victories.
actually, Sargeant came out and said it wasn't true
- because they couldn’t afford Peta, that they were 100% behind Evans for the Tour, and besides Peta has a valid contract … the later report made it sound like it was idle chatter or wishful thinking between Roberto Damiani (Lotto DS) and Peta’s manager/agent (someone like that) to the effect of “hey, if Petacchi didn’t have a contract I’d sure like him on our team” but nothing more.
i see that the standard leading edge of the gang has arrived

Exposing my ignorance here
I must admit to never having worked in an office. I do get to keep my staplers though.
Could just as well be my ignorance
I did work in some offices. Have experienced “room for 2”, “office garden” (cubicles without cubicle walls …) and “3 at a large table separated by double 21in screens.” Always had the impression that the Dutch at least were quick to adopt new office paradigms. Cubicles are soooo early 80’s :)

Evening all!
Man, soooo looking forward to this! There was no bike racing for me last night… ‘cause, um, I had partially dislodged the telephone plug whilst vacuuming. I discovered this five minutes ago, when I picked up the phone with the intention of tearing my ISP a new one, and found that there was no dial tone… wow, talk about a stream of obscenities! (and I’m a sailor’s daughter…)
talented, ain'tcha?
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
Oh yeah. Very.
Worst part is that last night I just let it go… I figured “Sh*t happens, they’ll get their act together soon enough”. Plus it had been pouring rain, and the wires here are old and underground… Yeah, OK, I neglected the very basic first step. I’ll be swearing to myself on and off for a while, I think ;-)
Fortunately I am too cheap to call 'em from a mobile ;-)
My policy is that if they want the line freed up, they can call me on the mobile
TPG
All good – except when you have to contact them for any reason. That’s another reason why I ‘let it go’ last night – I’d rather gnaw my own foot off than try to communicate with them. In the last 12 months, they’ve only gone arse-up once (and that was on the day when it reached 50 degrees outside, so I’ll forgive ’em)
TPG is good value for money
but I’m a bit suspicious for the quality.
I use internode. a bit more expensive, but never need to contact them.

Perfectly scheduled just before the cycling: F1 qualifying Monaco
Normally I don’t watch any moron, I mean motor, sports but I’ll make an exception for Monaco. See if I can recognise the course from what it looked like 2 weeks ago:

Have you photoshopped out the ex-pat swedish athletes?
I would have thought it impossible to take a photo in Monaco without catching at least 1 or 2 in the image.
WAIT!
I had a busy day yesterday so I got up early to watch the video from yesterday’s stage on Universal.
Did they really play Canned Heat in the intro or was I hallucinating because it was 5 am?
so, 181 riders take the start today

Props to Levi Fans!!!
I just want to say Kudos to Levi’s loyal fans for standing by their man. Of course, he does have a chance to wear Pink in Roma — even a cold-hearted gambling addict like myself has to realize that the third-choice in the betting at less than 4 to 1 has a real chance to win. I have been too hard on Levi’s failure to win the ITT outright.
