Prisoner's Tour de France--WTF?
It doesn't seem to be dated April 1, so I suppose it's real. But, WTF? And who's paying for the bikes? And how bad do I have to be to get put into prison in France within the next couple of weeks (or get hired as a guard)?

And you better implicate me at trial.

Not sure it's worth being some lifer's "domestique."

No breakaway sprints allowed.
What if they flat? Will they be shot for trying to escape out the back of the peoton?

This will be torture
No way every prisoner will start this tour with the same level of fitness and physical capabilities. The quick ones will be tortured by being forced to wait on the stragglers and the stragglers will have to go into the red zone every day.

true but
I can’t wait to buy a team shirt (vertical stripes make me look skinnier)

Ah, very slimming, that must have been a hard find though
But a worthwhile find, a great movie Papillion is. But prison stripes are usually horizontal. Vertical stripes are mostly reserved for referees and I guess the body image concerned inmates. But not all horizontal stripes are unflattering as you can see below, and make the connection with the two photos.

Well, either they were hacked, tricked, or the French really are insane.
- and #2 are possible, but why not go with the sure thing?

It’s a kind of escape for us, a chance to break away from the daily reality of prison," said Daniel,
Maybe “escape” isn’t the best word to use in this situation
