But what time zone? I mean, did she miss Blockhaus?
(And congrats, guidemd and patrickbpenguin!)

Super news! Congrats to the new parents!
I remember some discussion about the new arrival being named after the winner of the Giro stage on the day of the birth though…so why not , er, Franca, or, er, Jennifer?! ;-)
Adrenalina Italiana!
I think they should name her after the stage finish....
isn’t Blockhaus a common name in Canada? :)
And of course congrats!
In Chauncey we trust!
YAY!
They get digital tv in the post-partum section yet?

Oh, Jen, congratulations! I am so happy for you both!
And a bit from “Birthing,” by Jeannie Babb Taylor:
…Now I am terrified and brave,
Teeth clenched in a wild grimace,
Naked, shameless, fearless, free,
Head thrown back,
Chin thrust to the ceiling,
Throat exposed,
I rise upon that glistening wave.
I fly to the pinnacle
Where life and death are sisters.
And I do what no one has done before.
And I do what my mothers have always done.
I do.
I can.
I will.
I am.
I am there.
I am there!
She is here,
Dark curls wet with creation’s dew.
She breathes our air.
She does not cry,
But we do.
Wonderful news!
Although given the time of delivery, I thought the baby might be named Denise Danila :)
I'm still laughing at it being a juniorette and not a junior!
Tee hee.
Congrats Jen and Ed! Looking forward to cute pics to follow once you’re all home!
I love C, not because he rocks as a cyclist, but because deep down he's a band geek! LOL!
Congratulations
Always good to hear of a future Giro fan in the making.
Sometimes I wonder...why is that Frisbee getting bigger?...and then it hits me.
Thanks Everyone!!!
Damn these late stage starts, cancelled c-sections (moving us up), and no wifi in the hospital!!!! So we only caught the first couple kms of the Blockhaus… had no idea who won the stage so we had to settle for Chloe Jessica!!
In case you are wondering, Sai Bo is Chloe’s Chinese name – one of two meanings: Universe of Treasure of Small Treasure. Either interpretation is accurate!!
All bets were on a big chunky sprinter, and what we got was a classic pure climber in the making!! Light, nimble, endless energy. And the minute Chloe was born, it became all so clear – it’s Giro time – check out the Maglia Rosa toque!!!

Congratulations!
She’ll have a good answer when someone ever asks her who won what bycicle race on her birthday. The crazy Blockhaus stage of Giro’09.
"Non-cyclists. The emptiness of those lives shocks me." Tim Krabbé
And most importantly, we already signed her up for her free PdC account.
Congrats to all. The staff of PdC will be sending Chole her first huggable stuffed animal later today.

I’ll be humming that darn thing all day now ;-)

that's the sort of crap
that invites a NATO response to attack on a fellow member.
God I hate eurovision.
There's already a little war
Since Swedens largest newspaper thinks his album sucks, and some Norwegian papers didn’t like that opinion. The guy who wrote the review is now the “Rybak killer”.
I haven’t listened to his album, and I don’t plan to do it either since I take for granted that it actually do suck. The Eurovision peaked in 1965, the competition is the *Lotto of music.

but but
You live on the other side of the atlantic ocean. The only way you would be exposed to it is if you sought it out?
We apparently almost declared war on them
Or at least one of our papers did. Some people obviously take Eurovision a lot more seriously than others.
Frinkster, if you want a pink doll, just say so
