yes, but wartime pulled people together in some ways

afterwards the people were exhausted and the economy was flat. it was hard to find a decent place to live let alone make a decent start in life. my parents’ first cold water flat in London still had a whole in the roof from bombing making an open-air kitchen. when my mother received chocolate from Germany from a university friend that she couldn’t get because they were still rationed in Britain, that was a bit of a tipping point. funny what pushes people to make big decisions…

Some pavé there a moment ago? Nice

I think I might be delayed a bit. The announcer sounds like he took a hit of nitrous. Gap at 1:04 for me.

Gap to leaders

but as soon as I posted 1:04 it was back up to 1:15 so I don’t think I’m that delayed.

It's Rabobank... they NEVER let their leader down...

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
