Hey all -- this is something I mention about once a year, and it's come up this week in a fanpost, so let me say this and take it in the most constructive spirit:
We have four rules for discussion at the Podium Cafe, in no particular order:
1. No political discussion. This doesn't mean no mention of anything political, but please try to refrain from launching discussion of political issues.
2. No personal attacks. This was an issue this week, and all I can say is, when this comes up it's always about something that CAN be discussed objectively enough not to make it an attack. But, the danger of talking online is that we can't always understand each other's tone very well. Sometimes people really dash straight over the line, an obvious no-no, but that's rare.
3. Be really careful about discussing who's doping. Random, baseless speculation about who's doping is not OK. Well-founded suspicions maybe, but remember what you're possibly doing to someone's reputation when you say stuff.
4. No obvious nonsense, i.e. obviously indecent material, copyright theft, spamming, insulting Tourbecco, etc.
I am closing comments. We don't need a lot of process chat, this is merely a friendly reminder. If you want, contact me at podiumcafe@yahoo.com or stop by our facebook group.
