Last stage.
Probably all the competitions are over. Valvertde's gonna win the General classification. Fedrigo's got the spotty jersey prize and Evans' got the points jersey in hand. All that's left is this transitional stage which mainly exists to insult the sprinters one more time as it has the gnarly cat 1 Montée de Saint-Bernard-de-Touvet that crests about 22 km from the finish line. Average gradient: 9%. L'ouch. Still I don't see this upsetting the established order; it just gets rid of those pesky sprinters so they don't contest the stage win.
Video: CTV, Eurosport and what have you should start at 15:15 CEST, 9:15 am Eastern. Note CTV is scheduled to start Suisse Tour coverage an hour and 10 minutes later. There might be overlap between the two if the Dauphine stage takes a little longer than expected. There are/will be a variety of links at Steephill.TV or Cycling fans.

I liked the books better. The movies were too goofy.
Fletch in the books was edgy, sarcastic, and physically very different from Chevy Chase. It would have been serious miscasting, except they totally changed the tone (and much of the plot). It was a funny movie on its own terms, but I probably would have liked it better if it hadn’t been loosely based on a really good mystery series.
