I thought at first that it would be managable as the first few drugs didn’t produce much, but then the last one turned out to be massive. The limits they’ve asked for make hardly any difference. So now, they have to get back to THEIR clients….and I wait. Zzzzz.

My interpretation
The first is the lag of the front of the peloton. The second is the lag of the back of the peloton?

That he’s interested to see if CVV improves by the end of the race, the last two stages in particular. I took that to mean that CVV is out of shape now and we’ll see if he can ride himself into shape.

I missed this too.
Curious as he has been very prominent this year, far more so than I remember before….not that that necessarily means anything of course.

Reading the story, doesn't on the face of it seem all that serious.
These whereabouts forms seem a bit of a nightmare so could easily have been an honest mistake….

So far, they're just reporting trouble getting whereabouts in.
The team has suspended him for 15 days, presumably to make sure he doesn’t mess that up again. Could be indicative of a bigger problem, but could just be carelessness…
Trivia: which guy, with one of the cleanest reps in the peloton, came within one missed test of a suspension?

Mark Cavendish.
I’d filled in the forms, done everything I was supposed to but what I didn’t realize is that the ‘exception’ didn’t change my training venue; in other words they’d still expect me to be at the velodrome on a Tuesday even though I’d be on the Isle of Man…The next April, Ed and I were bundled off to Germany and Sparkasse, and in the chaos of last-minute packing, I forgot to fill in my whereabouts form…Boom! Second missed test.
