Liquigas for the Tour

Daniele Bennati

Did someone mention....?

(And if you are noticing what is written on Benna's chest then you aren't paying attention.)

I like this team. The nine:

Nibali and Kreuziger to be co-captains.

Vincenzo Nibali, Roman Kreuziger

Franco Pellizotti, Daniele Bennati

Fabio Sabatini, Aliaksandr Kuschynski,

Alessandro Vanotti, Fredrik Willems

Brian Bach Vandborg.

What?

No Cunego? That’s a surprise!

Wow

Putting a lame joke in the tour-squad thread of the wrong team. That’s pretty lame!

well

The original photo did show a Lampre jersey…

by Jen See on Jun 25, 2009 5:38 PM EDT up reply actions

I saw it. I am a witness. It was a pic of him in a Lampre jersey.

Hence the “And if you are noticing what is written on Benna’s chest then you aren’t paying attention.” joke.

Thank you Zoe.

Ah, that explains a lot

That means I’m only half lame. That’s quite a relief.

Sick movie

I just watched the trailer to what might be the best (only) cycling movie ever on Youtube. It’s called Blood Sweat and Gears and its def going to be sick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_Rj8KDHn_w

Fee, fi, folderol

I smell the blood of a PR troll

bikes, on the off-hand chance that you’re not a PR troll, there’s a handy-dandy search function that would have told you nikki already posted this news a few weeks ago. If you are for real and just excited, welcome, but posting this in a thread that has nothing to do with the subject makes me very suspicious.

bikes -

I’ve chatted with Nick Davis who produced and directed the film when he first posted the trailer. I don’t think any of us who are fans of the team are going to be disappointed. Trailer looks great.

I love C, not because he rocks as a cyclist, but because deep down he's a band geek! LOL!

I'm pretty disappointed that a prime time for a bennalanche

has arrived and no one took full advantage. The ladies are slipping.
You too ursula. LOL!

Hey! i started the ‘lanche! I need backup as I’m at work! In fact this is my second picture of Benna in two days!

I too am at work or you know I’d be more than willing to help more. :-p~~~~~

Wahahaha....Sevilla's expression is hilarious

completely cancels out the “hottitude” from Bennati.

by Phil H. on Jun 25, 2009 5:09 PM EDT up reply actions

Huh.

I vaguely recall that. Is one of us Wikimedia user Pirker?

by Sui Juris on Jun 25, 2009 5:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Hmm

I seem to recall Pirker showing up during the hijinx we had with the Benna wiki page – S/he was a wiki editor type. I know you put one of your Benna photos into Creative Commons, but I didn’t think it was that one. Maybe a misunderstanding of what you were willing to share?

by Jen See on Jun 25, 2009 6:15 PM EDT up reply actions

Oh, no, I was/am completely pro-CC

and the licensing works (if not as clearly as I’d like). Was just trying to recall for my own recollection’s sake. I’ve contributed (and will continue to) a number of things to Wikimedia and Wikipedia. Just always nice to know how it gets there, is all.

by Sui Juris on Jun 25, 2009 9:27 PM EDT up reply actions

cool

Pretty sure that shot was from your collection, anyway. Wasn’t sure what you were asking is all.

Anyway, pretty sure it dates from the Wiki silliness that ocurred here, and that Pirker dropped by to tell us to behave. Then, we all got constructive and started actually contributing useful things, like say, your photos :-)

I think we're learning to pace ourselves.

A fun month coming up for sure! Thanks all for the good start! ;-)

I've been out watching live racing (!)

Depressing result as far as I was concerned, but this thread has cheered me up no end ;-) Was a great evening though!

Here here Albertina!

Could not agree with you more. Officialling races here non-stop and then I read the Garmin thread and can’t throw out things I know and see the bashings, but this thread…. this one is making up for some sweet missed time. :-p~~~~~

Did I miss something?

I did, obviously — why isn’t Basso riding the Tour?

by jmgorman on Jun 25, 2009 11:05 PM EDT reply actions

You've been missing something since January

’cause Basso was never scheduled to do the Tour, his big objective now is the Vuelta and then he will go ride in France in 2010.

by Phil H. on Jun 25, 2009 11:08 PM EDT up reply actions

I'd say since last year

Liquigas knew ASO would not like to see him so quick
ever since the Japan Cup, Basso talked about Giro only I think….

Can't go pass this thread without adding in a favourite Benna shot..

What is wrong with his eyes in this pic?

Looks a little skewed to me.

His eyes always look a little off to me--which is why his best pics are in sunglasses.

He’s the anti-Basso in that regard.

Anti-Basso?

It’s that somehow related to a antipasto?
