The LamPREY Tour Team
From cyclingstartlists.com, Lampre has selected their Tour squad. Which goes as follows:
*Alessandro Ballan
*Marco Bandiera
*Marzio Bruseghin
*Angelo Furlan
*Marco Marzano
*Massimiliano Mori
*Daniele Righi
*Mirco Lorenzetto
*Simon Spilak
To me average is the word that describes this team the best. Two Average sprinters, an average GC guy(for the Tour at least) and some Ok support riders/stage hunters. I don't expect much from them, what does the PdC faithfull think?

maybe, maybe not
There was talk of reconciliation after the Giro, but it’s unclear how deep that goes. Saronni said that he expects Bruse to ride out his contract through the end of next year with Lampre.
Vediamo.
Ah right, didn't see that!
I defer to the oracle of all things Italian ;-) It did seem a bit hasty, all that talk of him being elbowed.
Adrenalina Italiana!
To be clear, incase anyone asks, I do realize Ballan is above average
but I don’t think he’s at his best yet, after his illness.
good cause I was just about to ask ;)

Well beat you to the punch, oh and off topic
I would like to thank the T-Wolves for trading the guy we’ve wanted to draft for two years, now I don’t know why they would trade to their division rivals, who are already far better than them at the moment but thanks anyway.
You mean Lawson? Well, we already drafted like 3 pgs ;) I didn’t really follow that trade, what did MN get? As for better, well everyone’s better than them right now, I don’t really think they have to worry about rivals for the next 3 years or so, going to be a while before they’re in the playoffs. Rubio might not even come next year.

You got a first rounder that we had from Charlotte
conditioned though, which I think means they can’t get the pick if it’s a lottery pick until 2014. Real fucking confusing, which the nba does well. Yeah the wolves had drafted 3 pg’s, which made no sense to me, they could have used the pick for something else. But I don’t know if the wolves really lose in this trade but it is a steal for the Nugs, who could then trade their 34 pick for cash which should allow them to re-sign birdman, who kicks a gigantic amount of ass. Wow, I just rambled for a bit there :)
Ballan will probably be a threat for some of the later stages before Ventoux
He will be back for some good wins in a month or so…
It's refreshing to see the Puppy not racing the Tour.
I would now expect him to take Lombardia and the Worlds. A far more realistic double for him than to podium at the Tour.
If Jens! Voigt was a planet, he' be the "World of Hurt"
Spilak seems promising
Not a rider for the big mountains, but someone who could still make his mark on those stages which feature an abundance of rolling hills. (Are there even any of those in the race?) As for the rest, Lorenzetto was sprinting very well at the outset of the season before a crash put him out of action. Good to see him back. All in all a decent team.
ever noticed.....
Ever noticed how motorists are inconsiderate… Some cyclists are morons. Share your thoughts with me at my blog. http://www.cyclingsafely.com
No PR posts
as Gav said, if you want to discuss your blog and your issue at hand then make a separate post. But if you only want to promote your site and not share in the community then this isn’t the place for you.
Basso?
OK did I miss something? Was Basso never going to do the TdF this year? OK that one went right by me….
Yes
Er, no. Basso was never going to ride the Tour this year. He will ride the Vuelta. Liquigas held him out of the Tour to avoid controversy – I wouldn’t be surprised if he rides next year, though.
it's the Wolves, dammit!
and what are they? why, only the best team in basketball! ;)

Hmm...
How do the hottitude experts rate the, er, hottitude of this Tour squad? I fancy it low.
Mon coeur appartient à les forçats de la route.
Bruseghin
When you look at his results there seems to be a big difference between his results in GT races where Cunego is present and where Cunego is absent. That means he could improve considerably his 24th place of last year. Don’t you think?
"Where there’s a will, there’s a way.": Alberto Contador, shortly after waking up from brain surgery.
Lampre
change team to
Allesandro Ballan, Marzio Bruseghin, Marco Bandiera, Angelo Furlan, David Loosli, Daniele Righi, Mauro Santambrogio, Marcin Sapa & Simon Spilak.
