Yeah, but what about the weather?

I mean seriously… it snows over there!

I have seen snow falling here in Sydney once and once only. Briefly. There was no snow on the ground, mind… you had to be pretty observant to notice that it was snow and not just really light rain. Now I distinctly remember how bloody cold it was that day. My mate was horrified to observe that my lips were blue.

I’ll move over there once they’ve fixed the weather ;-)

These interwebs never fail to fascinate me.

I went to RTL (Radio-TV Luxembourg) to see if there was any chance they’d be showing something—doesn’t look like it, but I’m now watching live images of traffic in Luxembourg. Roads look pretty clear.

Looks like those 10-minute highlights are scheduled for 19:50 throughout the race.

Could be they couldn’t get a different time slot for the first day even though the TT is in the evening. The sucky thing seems to be that while June 3-5 the highlight show is on RTL1, for June 6 & 7 it switches over to RTL2—and it looks like only RTL1 is streamed online. At least, what’s been on my screen this morning matches the RTL1 schedule—otherwise, I haven’t a clue.

Ooh, brother bias

Andy Schleck didn’t get a mention at all on the live ticker when he started, much less exclamation points.

My theory, based on the FS frenzy: live update person got a chance to meet Schleck the Elder

and can’t be bothered with updates, assuming he/she is still conscious.

Then again, what if the Eurosport guy just read the live ticker

and didn’t realize it cut off suddenly before all the riders were in?

Yep but that was on a mountain TT in the TdS last year

clearly this TT loss spells doom for the little Schleck.

Eh, that comment was sarcastic

I’m not the know nothing cycling press that travels around Armstrong here! I am wise enough not to read too much into a TdL prologue.

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
