Printlooks like the Tour de France Team Presentation is tomorrow (Thursday July 2nd) at 9AM US Pacific Time, if I figured that correctly. It is at 6PM in Monaco.
Last year we had a wildly comedic, spontaneously fun and thoroughly entertaining live thread for viewing the spectacle. (Enough exaggerating adjectives for ya?)
Can any of you over there ::pointing to Europe:: see if there may be live web streaming of the presentation this year? If so, please post any information here. Much appreciated.

tomorrow also sees the first of this year’s Palios in Siena, on RAI from about 5:40 local time.

One of the few that doesn’t come with Valkyries attached. But it’s not just the race that you want to watch, it’s the whole medieval pageantry that goes with it.

Checked out the video and some pics on Flickr. Looks like a lot of fun. The costumes are beautiful. But those Italians seem to have a thirst for blood sport resembling the Spanish.
Speaking of which
next week also sees the running of the bulls in Pamplona, shown live every day on Spanish TV at 8am local (the actual bullfights are now PPV).
But I’m not sure that the Italians are that bloodthirsty. OK they like to go out and shoot birds everywhere, but otherwise they treat their animals pretty decently. Better I’d guess than in some of the giant industrial farm complexes in the States.
It really meant it as a joke. No insult of the Italians intended.
The horses running over the men reminded me of the running of the bulls.
Those bull runners are totally nutty.
Friend of mine has done it several times and seems totally unperturbed. Mad!

Oh. I thought
that maybe you’d stumbled across a video of another odd Italian sport. They do paly a lot of strange games (strange at least to our eyes) that go back hundreds of years. There are several special local 200 a side versions of football and a few confusing bat and ball games too. I thought that maybe you’d found something involving the death of something small and furry.

Ok, they butchered the fake-abs
and made them look like skigoggles with the highroad logo.
Also , one rider is Peipers bitch, used as armrest and not allowed in the picture.
I think that one suits Tony Martin better...
