Chicago Races - PdC Party?!?

Hey guys! I know I've been missing tons of great stuff here at the Cafe and please believe me when I say I MISS it terribly. Things at work are not very good right now though and I'm officialling way more than I had planned on. But all in all things are good and fun times are being had.

I just read through the Welcome thread and caught up on some emails that had been sitting in my in box and I think we have a pretty sizeable group here in Chicago, especially over the next couple of weeks. Currently we have Superweek going on, we have the Chicago Criterium coming up, followed the next weekend by Elk Grove, and just two short weekends later we have Downers Grove where the National Crit Jersey is on the line.

So my question and reason for this post...

Are you guys up for planning a PdC Gathering, Chicago?

I'm officialling the Chicago Crit and Elk Grove so it would be super easy to locate me at either of the races. I would love to get together outside of a race as well. PopUp is afraid of grass so something closer to Chicago might work well, otherwise a BBQ or something by me would be awesome. I might have some added house guests the week between the Chicago Crit and EGV so some fun possibilities are there for sure.

Let me know if there's interest and we can get to work on marking the PdC Gang that will be here!

I'm looking forward to the races already!

And if a bunch of us can meet up – huge bonus! Chris Horner is racing the Chicago Criterium and we have loads of amazing domestic pro’s already lined up for Chicago, EGV, and Downers. Good times to be had!

I love C, not because he rocks as a cyclist, but because deep down he's a band geek! LOL!

Bad trip planning!

I’m actually out of town for Chicago Criterium. I have the opportunity to spend three days riding around Vail and could not pass it up. Other than that, I’m up for anything. I’ll be at both Elk Grove and Downer’s Grove.

Have fun in Vail!

I like maybe trying something that Saturday evening of Elk Grove. I’ll be at all 3 and weeknights can all be looked at for a gathering too before/after any of the races. :-)

Sounds Cool

Chicago Crit and Elk Grove are very likely. Not sure about Downers though.

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
