It may be the Tour de France but some stages do dip into other countries…as shall I. I’ve been focusing on French dishes but today’s stage ended in beautiful Barcelona, Spain. That means, it’s time to whip up a Paella!

Okay, I am soooooo making this one. Will have to hit a farmers’ market this weekend.
Hey—totally as an aside here, do you have trouble finding corn on the cob that isn’t sickly sweet? I swear, I haven’t found corn-tasting corn on the cob in years. But I don’t know if that’s regional or what—maybe Midwesterners just like it sweet.

It's not too bad.
We seem to get corn tasting corn in the DC area if you stay away from anything labeled “sweet corn”. The corn I used was from a local farm in Maryland that just recently set up a food stand a couple blocks from our place. I didn’t find it too sweet. But, I know what you’re talking about…
Our organic store seems to have more “corny” corn. I’m not sure where they get it from, though. I’ll check next time I go.
