Armstrong and Cavendish headline a streamlined Tour of Ireland
Organisers of the Tour of Ireland professional cycle race, held in association with Fáilte Ireland, have announced a new three day format for 2009. The race, from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd August, will provide some spectacular racing with seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong bringing his Astana team to Ireland for the first time. Six times Tour de France stage winner Mark Cavendish (Columbia – HTC) also returns to Ireland where he scored three consecutive stage wins last year.

Looking forward to this...apparently it's on ITV4 in the UK
but I don’t know whether that’s just highlights or live. Anyone know?

sorry it's only 3 days
I enjoyed this race last year – lots of pretty scenery. And I think the tourist board was sponsoring, so we got daily highlights show in the US each night.
