Lyne has a nice preview of the U.S. Pro criterium championship, which is going off tomorrow at Downer's Grove. Always an entertaining race.

women's race
Tina Pic just won her sixth career crit national championship. Brooke Miller finished second, Shelly Olds, third. Pic plans to retire at the end of this year – she’s currently 43 – but could change her mind, natch.
Men are up lates.
Nikki has some great Downers Grove photos on her FLICKR page ….
I hope she doesn’t mind me linking to it

Moo
Don't mind at all. :-)
Here’s a link to the collection. With house guests and early morning on Sunday, I didn’t have time to edit any of the pics or really go through them much.

I’ll be uploading yesterday’s pics sometime tonight. BBQ at the house after the race with some of the riders and long day, especially with the weather.
I'm ready for this road season to wrap up. Bring on Cross!
Exciting finish to the men's race.
“Tasmanian Karl Menzies (Team Ouch) was putting together a leadout when he wiped out into Turn 5. That let the second group catch, and Bahati surged out of Turn 7 and led into fateful Turn 8 with victory in his grasp…”
I’ll let the link tell you who won because it’s a fairly well written and worth the time.

The first cyclist to stand up to him. And he did it in silence.
Luke does a great job
covering our racing scene here. Anyone in our around IL should mark the link. He’s also great at linking write-ups riders do and he links in our pics from races as well. :-)
I love C, not because he rocks as a cyclist, but because deep down he's a band geek! LOL!
