Here we go [am putting this up early to start the pre-race chatter]. I am going salmon fishing (field study?) in the pre-dawn and may not be around for the festivities, but that's never stopped y'all from having a great time before. Cycling Fans has a note up anticipating our need for video; with Steephill.TV on a little vacation, CF is your best bet for live links. Hope I can join you, this should be entertaining.

http://www.vattenfall-cyclassics.de says Eurosport TV video coverage starting at 1530. So 1530 minus 9 hrs is 6:30am. Think that is right.

Looks like i’ll be missing this one :( Meeting with somebody, taking some photographs for her society’s leaflet so we have to meet to walk round what i’ll be photographing and i’m still waiting for her to call so we can meet.

Race now 20+ minutes behind the slowest (41.5km/h) official estimate.
Should have been here at 15.37, race now should finish after 17.10 local.
