Eneco Tour stage Queen Liiive!

Queen stage is going. We have 3 riders in front Honig (Vacansoleil), Terpstra(Milram) and Gaudin(Bbox) 2 3 of them were already in the breakaway in the Nuyens stage. With that stage in mind we are going to see some firework. Let's pray to Erik Dekker for some firework for that. And favorites for the stage:

Boonen, EBH, Lovkvist, Niballi, VDB, van Avermaet, Wiggens and the whole Raboteam

They climbed the cote d'Anton!

Now they have a gap of 7’45.

Terpstra is dead last btw. What has he done?

That’s a name carrying a huge amount of cycling memories. Romain and Sylvère Maes were Tour de France winners in the 1930’s.

Probably not related because Nikolas Maes’ website doesn’t mention it.

I missed this stage completely by actually going out for a run for the first time in weeks. Good for Farrar, though—if he’s not priced himself out of reach, he’s a shoe-in for Red Shorts next year.

Back in the old format

if you wanted the results, you went to the race you were looking for and clicked the results tab, but no spoilers right when you open up the page. That seem reasonable doesn’t it?

In some ways yes

I’m not a huge fan of CN but recognise its value. They’re entitled though to have a ‘front page’ story. And as they have a world wide audience, not just a one country one, it follows that there will always be spoilers for someone. I think part of the problem is how voracious we are.

"How strange it was to see men doing something beautiful. Something pointless and elegant." Tim Winton, 'Breath'

by Seahorse on Aug 22, 2009 11:39 PM EDT up reply actions

I understand they are entitled to posting spoilers

but for so long they didn’t and managed well enough. The one thing most people complained about(on CN’s message board) when they changed their format was the spoilers. You can’t go on to cq or VN and not get spoilers, but you could CN, which made it a good place to go for me, a place were I could check other results and still not see the one I didn’t want to.
