Apparently he want's to go Shackward, but he's under a contract for 2010. And he shivs Boonen without quite naming him, I think.

Heh! "No one knows me better than Dirk"

And riding for him your biggest result was what? Most Aggressive Jersey in the Tour of Belgium?

Won courtesy of a TT effort no doubt

Even Demol couldn’t screw up raw power.

More death by association. Devolder does not deserve this.

But I like the Devo hat comments, very funny.

Me, I’m excited to see that The Shack may very well put together a worthy classics assault team.

Again, you're reading connections that don't exist, and creating Lance hatred from whole cloth.

Devolder’s supposed lack of brainpower has been a standing joke around here for…as long as he’s been going on what used to be doomed suicide breakaways. It dialed down a bit when those breakaways started working, except for a brief stint at the uphill t.t. where he modeled a particularly useless helmet, and stunk up the race.

and I can prove it
Devo
Interesting. Up until today Devolder’s MO was great engine with no brain attached. In his races he would habitually set off on a suicidal attack that was both very impressive in that we all knew that very few other riders could ever match it, and very dumb because he would always attack too soon and get caught. But today he came up with the winning move, attacking at the right time, and naturally, nobody could catch him in time.

You're all being a little over-defensive this time.

But I understand why. My comment wasn’t meant to be taken so aggressively, hard to read I know. I was laughing at everyone’s comments.

Honestly, sometimes it's s all in your head

No one hasmentioned LA in this post. No one is killing Devo in this post.

I don’t see why I can’t make fun of Dirk Demol without being painted as an LA basher? Demol has almost nothing to do with Lance. He always ran the classics part of USPS, and badly in my opinion. Why does pointing that out have anything to do with Lance?
Pointing out that a guy is gushing with sentimentality about a possible move back to the team where he won nothing, from the team that has set him up for 2 Monuments has nothing to do with Lance.

Besides, the story here is that he is NOT going to Shack this year so technically you can’t really tell from this that they will have a strong classics team. You can tell that they might be wishing to have one but that’s not the same thing. Me, I wish I had a pony.
Personally I think RS will have strong riders for the classics as I’ve said elsewhere. If things are like they used to they won’t get much out of it, but the team will be strong on paper.

Wins are hard to come by

but they have been serious contenders and strong in some of the classics and have had some decent results.

The bashing around here is never in my head, but like I said, this time was not to be taken all that seriously, sorry for the confusion. And really sorry to disrupt the snarkiness roll.

It's just annoying since I try to steer clear of a lot of LA stuff deliberately

because I have very mixed emotions and the LA discussions never fare well with mixed emotions. They tend to end in black/white flaming sooner or later.
Therefore it’s frustrating when you use the “six degrees of Kevin Bacon”-logic to make things about Lance that in reality isn’t.

I thought it was a known fact

When you sign up for this community you have to choose whether to check the box, hate LA or like LA.
Devo is okay, they are no Flock of Seagulls.

If you believe that for real that is just sad

and I’m not talking about the Flock…. part.

Indeed

and if you check the box, you’re banned! It’s an elaborate trick to keep the numbers low.

Why do you hate Kevin Bacon, Jens?

I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Have you missed the whole swine flu thing?

Dude, this Kevin Bacon is not the issue

I’m talking about drawing a line in the sand.
