I know that with my students i write phonetically in my roll so I don’t really mangle their names. But until I hear some names spoken, I’m completely clueless about pronunciation.

Question for the Europeans:

What is the deal with the road? I see two bike lanes on each side (very nice, not something we have here in the US usually) but the road isn’t divided by a center line. Do you folks just trust each other to share the road in each direction? Seems like it would be a bit of a free-for-all, particularly at night.

Yes!

That was something i got used to when i visited the US in June, came back and realised how crap it is. You guys have the coffee thing perfected. Kitschy coffee shops rock but the chain stuff was just as good

Should have one a 5 minute walk from my house that i’m moving into tomorrow though. so it’s just where i am now is crappy.

I've been up in LA with the kittie cats

Can see all the smoke from the fires, but at least it’s not blowing this way. Nice and clear here. Been really hot. Other than that nice weekend.
