Frischkorn just passed his 1-minute guy
Liquigas’ Vanotti (who rides his road bike). Most interesting thing so far.

I thought the reason for Liquigas coming to Missouri was because they ride Canondales.
If that was true then you’d think they could set them up with some TT bikes as it’s a logistical nightmare to get all that equipment across the pond.

Rory just put up a pic of Vandborg warming up
He’s got a TT bike.

thanks ZoeRochelle for flying the ToM flag and keeping everyone up-to-date over the past few days!
LOL. Ha! I didn't think of that. We always knew that about Jens! but now its confirmed.
And your welcome. I’ve enjoyed keeping the TOM on the radar around here.

They might be hard to come by after he changes teams, of course if the new kit is better it'll be worth the wait.

I'm trying to sort out some paperwork
So I’m not paying that much attention at the moment. Any info on intermediates?

1. Matthew Rice 40.46
Francois Parisie
Charly Vives
Francesco Chicchi
Will Frischkorn
If Dave Z wins should I prepare for the apocalypse?
Two garmin wins in one day is enough pure evil to make rivers flow backwards
However, I think the Garmin U23 team got second in the TTT at Univest today
So that should return everything to normal.
Here we go:
1 Bernard Van Ulden (Jelly Belly) 0:39:24
2 Jurgen Van De Walle (Quick Step) 0:39:45
3 Matthew Rice (Jelly Belly) 0:40:46
4 Francois Parisien (Planet Energy) 0:42:00
5 William Frischkorn (Garmin-Slipstream) 0:42:15

That was the money question of the day.
Finally found an evening to come by and read up here. We were all standing there and he got run into the fence pole. Pretty bad. Luckily he seemed to be okay but I heard later his bike was done. That wasn’t that far from the finish and he might not have noticed with no momentum at that point.

I'm ready for this road season to wrap up. Bring on Cross!
At least Borrajo reached the finish

Zabriskie is like Pacman – chomping down on the previous starters as he speeds down this arrow-straight road.
Heh.
Jesh what is up with Bissell...talk about Garmin having good time-triallers
They have 4 in the top 5 currently
Yay for Bissell, they've been a damn good
sponsor in US cycling for a long time (relatively speaking.)

OK Missouri, What The Fuck..
is up with your people and their race vehicles? All I can think of is DUH! I know they will use anyone who will volunteer to drive VIP cars, but race motos Interfering? Twice? WTF? REALLY? If it isn’t discussed here or elsewhere, a VIP car put Anibal Barrajo in the grass with a broken wheel and two race motos, stopped Gustav Larssen by blocking the inside of a corner. Twice. cyclingnerws.com

Confusion In The Final Kilometer
You can bet they won’t use the same start/finish roads that they did today if this race (and the Tour of Missouri itself) return in 2010. Waaaaay too narrow roads for the final two kilometers, when the chances of riders passing others is the greatest.
Also, every driver on the course was supposed to be a UCI license holder. I’m not so sure that was the case.
