Sure it's the East-German?
I don’t see it clear enough, but it could be the Bundesdienstflagge.

It's a mystery indeed
Once hailed as the next Dutch Tour champion. Maybe he was a bit naughty in his younger years.
He was absollutely excellent in Pais Vasco one year
think it was the same year he pipped Klöden for the stage in the Tour. Awesome climber then.
Yes
They used the same roads this year, but in the opposite direction, on the Colmar stage.

Finish was flate. That was what I meant..
And what is Schlucht? I know Kloden get past Weening in the last 3 m of the last climb so Weening didn´t get the KOM jersey. He outsprinted him with 3mm so he couldn´t worry about the KOM jersey that much
That's a heavy body to drag at speed up mountains

No all the top quality security forces are wearing puffy pants these days
except those in Afganistan who seem to be nude
Nope
They do have a lot of ceremonial duties, but carry these in other situations: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b7/Stgw_90.jpg
they were perhaps the most famous fighters in europe
until they went neutral when they realized that their mercenaries were fighting each other. Battle of Morgarten, I think. Special dispensation for the Swiss guard to be an armed unit outside the borders.
"Neutral"
The did invade Liechtenstein two years ago.

it's the model for the israeli army.
entire chunks of mountains hollowed out for airplanes, bridges and tunnels can all be blown up (in a fixable way), road dividers remove to use as airstrips….
They've an army, an airforce
and most intriguingly a navy…which is some going considering they’re landlocked
and very quickly rejoins
