Carlos Barredo and Allen Davis have joined Andy Schleck on the sidelines of the Veulta.  Both had been suffering stomach problems and were losing time over all.  Davis was 34 minutes down at the conclusion of stage eight while Barredo was just 11 minutes behind.  Both riders had been hoping for a spot on their respective squads for Worlds in Switzerland.  Schleck withdrew during stage 8 to Alto de Aitana.  Schleck left the Vuelta in 51st place, 3:10.  Cyclingnews.com has details on both withdrawals.
