Vuelta Stage 11: Post-Stage Thread
No break for you! Today was sprint time, although not before quite a lot of splitting and chasing occurred. While he was left behind for a while, Tyler Farrar, the Wenatchee Wonder, made it to the dance on time, and stole the show. Results:
- Tyler Farrar, Garmin-Slipstream
- Philippe Gilbert, Silence-Lotto, s.t.
- Marco Marcato, Vacansoleil, s.t.
- Oscar Freire, Rabobank, s.t.
- asd
No change to the overall. Rest day tomorrow... then the real fireworks. Enjoy!

Its a very wise black bird.
You eat it when a prediction comes out wrong. I predicted a break today!
ursula looks back at the live thread......
Oh ho! Garmin was doing my bidding! Faarrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr has no chance at the points jersey and so Garmin won just to spite those goody two shoes paladins from Columbia. Greipel had a great chance to day to build on his lead and he barely did squat.
DIE ALL SPRINTERS!!1
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH OUCH (ursula stubs toe)
+100
Is that 3 riders so far? I find it hard to believe that they are all incompetent at opening champagne, more that some vineyard donated all the bottles that didn’t pass quality testing. God knows how it tastes.
Jens Voigt doesn’t know where you live, but he knows exactly where you will die.
biggest individual win maybe
Winning the opening Giro TTT as a wildcard team and taking the pink jersey was pretty huge for them, and probably will be there biggest win until someone can pull a classic or monument
I'd rate Vattenfall as bigger
Pro Tour One day race is better than a Grand Tour stage win IMO
Interesting call...
… perhaps (in order of increasing value)
Giro / Vuelta stage
Pro Tour 1 day race
TdF stage
Monument

Millar
with the leadout? Dean finished in the bus with Maaskant, Tuft and Meier. TD @m.t., Millar @ 0:21, Hesjedal @ 0:33.
Definitely was leadout by Millar, He's becoming a one man leadout train.
The first cyclist to stand up to him. And he did it in silence.
I have to ask
Are the podium girls’ shorts not a good look?

Cyclists' thighs :0

Do the individual sponsors pick the outfits.
Styles seem to be all over the spectrum.

Some screen shots?
Greipel, my lord those thighs…And solidarity sprint goodness. Xacobeo are picking themselves some extra cash up for sure.

Venga Caisse d'Epargne!
Honestly, i don't know!
He got a little cup thing, but not sure what. It wasn’t teams, so err?
Venga Caisse d'Epargne!
I heard Keenan say third

Oh indeed!
"If I were World Road Race Champion, I would wear black shorts. That probably has more to do with me being on the wiser side of 30 and understanding better that the decisions I make now never really go away. White shorts would not be something I'd be proud of...." - David Millar, in Rouleur.
What a lovely thing to say
And with such a pretty surname he earns double points. Do you think we could organise another award for old(er) and craggy and give it to Stuey?

Perhaps at some later (quieter stage)
there could be a ‘good blokes’(Australianism) thread and we could celebrate the guys who make the peloton work ;)

Doping test?
Staring at the swim team gets you killed by a gang of dancing ninja men who know how to twirl.

Hehe. He'd better not do either to AV!

Excited to hear Farrar finally got a grand tour win.
Nice to see that Benna came through for his team and all their hard efforts... not.
No horn, watch for finger.

…very happy he’s finally gotten over the hump.
You see how calm Vaughters is? That’s because he’s really one giant seething ball of Evil inside. With like, extra Evil.
Garmin cannot leadout
Kudos to Tyler, but after watching the replay, wow, what a bad leadout by Garmin!
