Tour de San Luis - Pseudo Report

Can I do a race report based on TV highlights? I think I can't, but I will post the top 3 and my impressions about the sprint. But first, some background: For those unfamiliar with it, the Tour de San Luis is a seven days stage race in Argentina. It is a cat 2.1 race and there was some hype last year because it was Basso's first race after the suspension.

Now, since neither cycling news nor the official site posted any result I will share the top 3 and some impressions:

1- Francesco Chicchi (Ita) - "Leaky"

2- Edgardo Simon (Arg) - Funvic-Pindamonhangaba (Brazilian team)

3- Danilo Napolitano (Arg) - Katusha

Impressions: I will not create more polemica on sprint trains or the ability they have to go over hills (hehe). I will just report the Chicchi won the bunch sprint in dominating fashion, a la Cav, he had time to look back, do his victory salute and still won by 2 or 3 bike lengths.

It is too early in the season and the bunch has not the same deep that you have on the TdU and probably other similar races in Europe, still smoking the bunch is smoking the bunch and Chicchi did it today.

Tomorrow we have mountains. Maybe the chicken will show some form. Botero, Victor Hugo Peña, Pippo, Kolobnev, Nibali and a few other with less result on their palmares are all racing down here.
