Video Year In Review: Part 2(March)


The first monument of the year and the first Pro Tour stage races plus more.

The month started with the Vuelta Murcia which was won by Frantisek Rabon thanks to his TT victory in stage 4.

Next up was the Montepaschi Strade Bianche, a favorite to the PdC and cycling fans all over.

The first Pro Tour races of the year signaled the lead-up to Milan San Remo and the classics to come in April. First up was Paris-Nice. The race was to be decided on the climb up to Mende.


The race was still going to be exciting all the way to the finish though, stage 7 led to more fireworks.

Tirreno-Adriatico was decided by stage placings as Stefano Gazrelli and Michele Scarponi finished on the same time, Garzelli was awarded the win. Stages 4,5 and 6 were the deciding days of racing



This all led up to cycling's first monument, Milano-Sanremo

 

The Volta Catalunya moved to the end of March for 2010 and Joaquin Rodriguez took home the title thanks to a strong showing on the queen stage.

.The Belgian semi-classics took center stage next. There was a reshuffling of the calender with Dwaars Door Vlaanderen up first

Followed by the E3 Prijs

and finally Gent-Wevelgem

The month concluded with the Criterium International, raced on the island of Corsica this time. It was decided on the first stage with a mountain top finish.
