Rumored Giro Route
@Matt_Conn over on the Twit has this photo of the rumored Giro route. It comes originally from Italian newspaper La Stampa, who often gets this thing very close to correct. Official launch is Saturday. More fashion!

If true this will be incredible
dirt roads on stage 5 I believe, the climbing up to majestic Etna. Stages 13-15 all brutal mountain finishes and stage 16 a mountain ITT. Stage 20 features the Finestre and its dirt roads plus other climbing days I didn’t even mention. Epic route that all riders will despise…which is good.

Routes like that are why you gotta love the Giro
tricky routes with alot of potential for exciting stages, i’m looking forward to it!

The transfer “controversy” this year was pretty bad funny.

And they're already confused
The map says that the stage after the first restday finish in Termoli, and the list says it finish in Teramo. I’ll go with the stage list, Termoli is on the coast,.

Going up the Zoncolan last year didn't stop them

2007 stage
was magic. Of course, it came from the south, via the Amalfi coast. Also some epic crashing (wet roads, no real injuries).

:O
that will be the best stage ever (besides stage 7 of this year’s Giro)
analysis is speculation in disguise
Next year's TdF looks good, but this looks better...

they'll probably just remove the paving
and do it as a dirt climb TT. up and back down. should be fun.
