More hills and cobbles for Flanders and Het Nieuwsblad

Christmas comes early!

[Chris here] Resisting temptation to post about 5000 words on this subject. But that's for springtime. For now, know this:

  • There are four additional climbs before the Oude Kwaremont (Flemish for "business time")
  • They're all familiar to veteran Rondeologists: Tiegemberg, Nokereberg, Rekelberg, Kruisberg
  • There's a late substitution of the Valkenberg for the Berendries, which is potentially interesting
  • The Haaghoek section of flat, nasty cobbles is included three times in the Omloop.
So, hillier and harder. I wonder what they organizers have in mind. Like, what two-time current Belgian athlete-of-the-year might like this course...?
