Tirreno-Adriatico 2010 gets a kickass graphic, too (source). More info at Gazzetta dello Sport or Steephill.

Me want
Where can I find one that is big enough to feature as a pc desktop background?
Gerrie Kneteman: If a football player falls he shouts for his mother, if a cyclist falls he yells for his bike.
Yeah, I searched for it too
but couldn’t find anything beyond what I linked to as “source”. Usually there is a larger version hidden in a Flash animation on the front page of the organiser but the Gazzetta page is all we get, it seems. Maybe later they will add “desktop background” downloads.
Pretty cool.
A tad more biblical than last year’s:

Oh right!
They had one last year already, I forgot about that. My “too” referred to the Giro di Lombardia graphic: http://i50.tinypic.com/2aamzpz.jpg (1600×1200, 2 MB)
Yeah
That one definitely put La Gazzetta in the race flyer design hall of fame.

It's a surf contest.
With bikes!
Or something.
I wanted to post this thing huge on the front page, but couldn’t find a big version. Bah!
Wonder why they took out wolf mountain when they earlier said it would definitely be included
no TT either, many hills though, will be a very tight GC but not many clear sprint stages.
March 14, 2010: The great one returns!
I like the poster too, but is it my imagination or is it very similar to San Sebastian?
Not that that’s a bad thing, and I’m assuming the same artist… perhaps it’ll be a series..
"How strange it was to see men doing something beautiful. Something pointless and elegant." Tim Winton, 'Breath'
Sorry Ted, I don't, but there was a lot of discussion about it at the time here at PdC...
It was a little futuristic, but I’d be extremely surprised if it wasn’t the same artist.

Ha, see below :(

And that's what happens when you don't take time to read the thread first
and just go off on your own little riff…

I'm thinking it should be Lombardia not San Sebastian... bugger it

I think the above exchange suggests I have no brain.

Is that why
… there’s a token Basque on my team? And I keep looking at his name and shaking my head, yet he abides…
I have too. i bet it's the same one ;)

I doubt it...
… but then again, possibly he came to your attention for the same reasons that he popped up on my radar. Now I really will be freaked out if we have chosen the same token Basque…
If it's TDU related I'd say it's the same..
other than that we can just say the left and right (brain) were really working independently of each other ;)

I had that Lombardia one as wallpaper for a couple of days
but the more I looked at it the creepier I found it.
Gazzetta has a dedicated Tirreno-Adriatico site, complete with stage profiles here. It looks like that really nasty climb up to Montelupone isn’t back this year.
