Yeah - the joy of New England

It was raining at the end of the driveway, sleeting the next town over, no precipitation the town after that, and dry roads by the 4th town. Reverse order on the way home (out and back).

First time on the new frame, though. Ohh myyy gooodness. I luuuv my bike.

Oh, and we bombed cobbles and climbed another cobbled hill.

So all in all, I’d call it a success.

Mucho cool bike!

Elastomer shocks, pivot points, 20" wheels, and a 64, yes I said it, 64 tooth chain ring up front!! Full Suspension!!!

The one he had at the show was geared—10sp w/ 11-21 in the back and the same 64 up front. Nifty.

Moulton frame

I remember when Cycling Weekly used to report on 3-4 Moulton races every week. It was sort of a league that raced on abandoned WW2 airfields around England. Largish peloton and roadracing on regular bikes was restricted to ITT.
Someone in town here has a Moulton tandem.

The race was shortened by a lap after a car got on the course going in the opposite direction of the race and hit Simon Spilak. The course was apparently not properly secured, resulting in a mass protest by riders. A bunch of riders pulled out. Cadel Evans (BMC) and Ivan Basso (Liquigas-Doimo) were among those who left the race.

About 50 riders continued in the race after the incident, including Damiano Cunego, Spilak’s Lampre teammate.
