Wiggins seems like someone who doesn't think before he speaks
you can’t compare the most prestigious and important competition in club football to the first stage of a February warm-up race. To go along with what Krtek said it is like winning in the 2nd round of the community shield.

Wiggins is acting like quite the arse
He has quickly gone from one of the riders I really wanted to see do well, to one I hope has a really bad bonk on the first mountain stage.
He must have said this tongue-in-cheek
Because of the kerfuffle about his Wigan comments, I reckon he is saying something deliberately off-base.
That said, it is still a stupid thing to say.
He's making me want him to be a one-hit wonder
And I think JV’s comments — that Wiggins benefited from a Tour with so many flat stages with a single final climb — are going to prove right-on. Good luck in the Pyrenees, especially with the mountain support that Manchester United is going to be able to give him there.
I feel bad for all of you
that don’t base your entire VDS team on the Tour of Qatar TTT. Clearly this race was like the Champions League, the Super Bowl, Paris Roubaix, the Tour de France, and Christmas all wrapped up in a cannoli. If the rest of you don’t realize that Cancellera cannot keep up in a time trial with the rest of the Saxo Bank team and that CTT will clearly be relegated in every race they enter this year feel free to pick any of these guys. I have seen the Sky Bus and it is awesome! Look they even stole the exclamation point from Jens and tacked it onto their team kit. Bradley Wiggins Tweets have made me realize I don’t know Jack about cycling. As far as I can see the only hard part about winning the VDS this year is picking the right rider out of their 26 eligible to keep of my team.

I think that's the same tone
in which one should interpret any and all tweets by Brad Wigans, if he is not obviously drunk.
And there I was thinking
that it was just the Brits and Aussies who read him this way.
Granted, the man probably ought to be more aware that he is pitching to a larger audience… but somehow, I can’t see him changing in a hurry :-)
Well.. He did that didn't he? With that response..
"Here the high school level of immaturity will be left to hottitude columns and people like myself." Der Phil. H
What's more is that I think Brad sold out for the cash.
Maybe SKY is a better team than Garmin with the addition of Wiggins but take Wiggins out of SKY and put him back on Garmin and they are fairly even teams …. not Manchester United vs Wigan.
The difference is only the $$$$$$.
I waited a half an hour to give my two toddlers breakfast until I had my Eneco tour coverage sorted, then made sure I got them fed before the sprint. --- Bought With Blood. ..... Hmmm, my kinda people. If only they could explain to my wife why my bike belongs in the house and not the garage. --- Thevaro
Sky is not as good as Garmin when it comes to stage racing, which is Wiggo's main concern
they are better overall but not stage racing IMO. If they are better it is by the slightest margins.

Exactly, --- so then the overpowering need to leave the team
that treated you well and launched you into the higher echelon of the cycling world, that you stated several times that you were not leaving is probably ….. cold hard cash.

He was with Garmin for a year
but he’s been with British Cycling for the whole of his career.
Also, given the valuation Garmin put on him, Vaughters should have been prepared to pay him a salary at least similar to what Sky was offering
