Tour of Qatar Stage 2....LIVE

Vuelta-live_medium

After Sky have grabbed the racelead with an impressive ride in the Stage 1 TTT, todays stage will no doubt be a tougher one for the brits. Yellow jersey Edvald Boasson Hagen faces as good a sprinters field as you are likely to find anywhere this year. Look out for a revenge-hungry Cervelo-squad eager to avenge yesterdays relegation.

Why are you shouting at me? I'm really sensitive you know

At 4 points (because he had a crappy season last year) I thought he was a bargain given he is on a good but not overloaded team (like Saxo 2008-09) and can score in many types of races. Now he’s going to lose to many races to be a bargain in my opinion. If he were 2 points he’d be worth the gamble even with the injury.

So who's gonna win today then?

Is Boasson Hagen just gonna win every stage? I’d say Farrar could be hard to beat if Garmin get the lead out right. Although I wouldn’t write off Boonen.

Stage two in Qatar overshadowed by Kurt’s injury. Edvald loses leader’s jersey after two-man break stays clear

Please, European teams often don't show up for the UEFA supercup(winner of CL vs winner of UEFA cup)

which this stage clearly was, tis just a little slip up.

Maybe a bit of an overreaction there?

one stage in Qatar in which Ciolek was nowhere close to the front at the finish may not be a great indicator of how the entire year will go.

Well I know Ciolek will be in good form eventually, I don't care if he was 11 minutes down today.

Just jumping the gun but Kluge is just as young as Mr. Ciolek and can be every bit as strong as him and can ride hard. I could be jumping the gun but he has had results on the lower end and was 3rd at the German champs last year plus he has a silver medal from Beijing in the points. He should lead Milram to a lot of good results.
