Tour of Qatar Stage 3.......LIVE
Another day, another crosswind. With the successful breakaway yesterday that left Wouter Mol and Geert Steurs about two minutes ahead on GC we might see a more concerted effort of the big teams to get their big men to line with a chance to win. Expect a bigger bunch sprint today.

Oh dear... now I'm on the horns of a dilemma
There’s a bike race late this evening… and there’s Mr King at an ungodly hour in the morning… and I cannot be present for both, because I am finally starting to comprehend that I cannot function on less than 4hrs sleep (at least, not more than one occasion per week)…
Come on Lou, HTFU ;-)
Can’t you just have an extra long sleep tomorrow, you know, light out at 6pm, set alarm for last 20 minutes of Qatar stage and then back to bed? No actually, I do understand…sleep, so necessary.
Noooooo!
4.5hrs last night this morning. Not counting the half hour that passed between the time that my alarm was set for, and the time that I woke up slumped over face down with my alarm in my hand. Besides, I have trouble sleeping when there’s daylight… and it isn’t even close to dark at 6pm here.
I think that Mr King might be the lucky winner. I do hope that he appreciates the sacrifice being made for him… setting the alarm for 4am is just scary. You’ll have the kettle on for me, won’t you Albertina?
Of course. We all look after each other here.
What is your preferred morning tipple? Tea (English breakfast, Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Darjeeling)? Or coffee? Milk? Sugar? ;-)
Coffee, please
However it comes. The coffee is the important part, not fussed about the bells ’n whistles…
Bugger off, Jens
That is just uncalled for. Besides, Tony ain’t soloing anywhere in a great hurry in February… surely?… it is Tony we’re talking about… oh now look what you’ve done :-(
Technical finish with a roundabout 500 m from the end, the comment guy says.

I really don't like those brown shorts.

From The Air...
Easily the most visible jerseys in the Qatar peloton are the red BMC Racing Team jerseys and the blue shorts of Garmin-Transitions. Not so discernable – all the teams wearing black.

At The Tour Down Under...
We saw that the red backs on the Radio Shack jerseys also made that team easy to spot from the air.

Uh oh. Benna fell and cut his chin yesterday.

Honestly just repeating the sad news from the comment guy.

What happened to...
“chicks dig scars”???? Don’t tell me The Simpsons lied to me – I don’t think I could bear it.
I'm built for descending...
I'm just not sure Benna could pull off the tough guy thing.

Understood...
It’s just that some of us can’t afford to have the scars taken away. They’re all we’ve got.

Ah, the old "No, really, I'm working" bit.

The cycling gods gave him his crash yesterday
the cut chin was the trade off.

Had to be conscious
they had helicam right on it. Showed like 5 replays of the shitty goalline cam instead of the shot that showed what happened. Weird.
yeah i turned covergae off to early

Also, sounds like Ciolek busted his collar bone in a crash before the line.
Bloody Qatar. That's three collarbones so far: Ciolek, Cozza, Arvesen.

Haussler has clawed his way into the top 10
from 107th place after the TTT. I foresee a breakaway in his future.

For that matter, he now also has the points jersey, team mate Reimer is 3rd in the young rider competition, and
Cervelo is now lying in 2nd place for teams, just 9 secs behind Topsport Vlaanderen. That’s quite a comeback. Respect.
I see waaaaAAAAAaaaay too many barbed wires on calves and arms. They look dumb no matter where they are. Unless they’re on the side of the road blocking cattle.--the King of Style
