F.O.D - yup....the campaign continues...
There was one vital member of the 2010 Fan of Dan club missing in the last thread. This oversight has now been resolved. I bring you the latest.....and I believe crashdan's favorite Fan of Dan member...the amazing Emilia Fahlin (HTC-Columbia).
Stay healthy Dan you have some fans to meet!
Emilia was recently ill but she is feeling much better now, She is looking forward to racing San Dimas and Redlands...and of course meeting our very own crashdan.

By the powers vested in me
by the Universal Life Church, invoking the spirit of Gonzo and the flame of eternal hope, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, with liberty and fraternity for all, I hereby bless this unholy union. Ramen.
Seriously
What did the man do to deserve this attention? ;-)
Gerrie Kneteman: If a football player falls he shouts for his mother, if a cyclist falls he yells for his bike.
This is fantastic
as in ‘the stuff of fantasy’.
Well done to all concerned.
well put

Wow
it’s like the whole world is in love. With Dan.

Project time
So since it’s clearly On, and we have some time, I think we as a community need to face up to some important responsibilities. Never in the history of cycloblogging has a guy been more in need of a KILLER opening line. Anything less, and the dream will evaporate like a drop of cytomax from a bidon on the overheated tarmac of downtown Gap. If he says “Hi, I’m Dan” he will not only end the dream, he will seriously damage this poor, lovely cyclist. This innocent young Swede who has been led to believe that out there is not just another guy, but… well, the right man for his time and place.
So get to work.

Do full length Abba dance routines
complete in costume still impress people in Sweden. Or have they grown out of their Bacofoil pants?
"Do you want to come back to my place, bouncy bouncy?"
"Woof, woof, woof! That's my other dog imitation."
Got it!
But first I’ll need 2 pairs of XL grey pantyhose and; what are you Dan? a 40R? OK, about 6 yards of upholstery foam and a handful of silver glitter.

she is definitely cute enough
for her own thread.
Dan, did you send Emilia flowers when she was ill? (hint)
Moo
OK
here’s the plan.
Steph and Lyne detain Emilia, mention your friend Dan is around. Dan, you roll up on the cycle. Don’t say anything. Look her up and down. Hand her a helmet.
Oh, and your bike should be loud. Shoot a hole in the muffler. In fact, shoot a hole in the seat too. It’s fine if she thinks you’re nice, but much better if she thinks you’re dangerous.

Emilia is not only stunningly beautiful in person....but she is one of the nicest rides in the women peloton.
Redlands will be fun for Dan…he has incredibly nice fans to meet.
crap, crap, crap....NOT rides....nicest riders....
she is too nice for me to make that mistake….WAH!!!
Emilialanche...

Trust me.
The 51/416 is not going to last. If history is any indication, I start off strong, then the dudes on my team decide to get hurt in crashes, get mono, or just plain suck for the rest of the year.
So as a perspective sponsor,
I shouldn’t take the plunge with Team Sink Fister?
"Woof, woof, woof! That's my other dog imitation."
Well, I dropped to 434:th
This season has has just started of as a big hot stinking pile of manure, results-wise. Every rider I like is permanently parked in the grupetto while the stinking dopers rack up the wins.
I’m going to be a bitter man if luck doesn’t turn in the next few weeks. Just stand a few inches more to the left of Sui and there is less risk of becoming collateral damage.

just a reminder that I've not responded yet.
Short version: recipes for pie look great. And then you try to cook it.
Maybe we need some new rule
that at random times in the season the rider leading our VDS should just lose all his points. If that bastard tops the table again at the end of the year then I’m going to start watching Roller Derby instead.
Hey, babycakes.

Take it easy there, Frinkster

This one is actually very useful, Jimbo has quite the velvet tongue
Here’ a helpful phonetic version for Dan:
“Four yarg low-na dinn hah-nd duke, slow minn biel bah-rah enn vat-tenbuh-fell”
Or
Jag vet en restaurang som serverar vattenbuffel

noooo,
I wanted to hear Dan ask her to hit his car a waterbuffalo.
Also, seeing Emilia’s preferences, is it unreasonable to expect Dan to learn dutch and grow long blond hair before Redlands?
Dan speaks German
And he has a the facial hair of a young Colonel Sanders. Does Emilia like fried chicken?
This would explain the white suit I found in his closet

Do you think Frinking could come along and label everyone please?
…just for my entertainment.

FWIW
I could positively identify Jimbo, Drew, Dan, Elvisgoat, and Chris in that photo. Give me a bit of artistic license and we’re adding jsallee, gravelroad, and itswells.
Unsurprisingly, none of them are on the very front row.
Thank God I didn't wear underwear that day
It sure was hot

I'm top, far right
still don’t think it was fair of tedvdw to stand on Lopex to make him look taller.
damn you Dan!
i’m starting the Jealous Of Dan club if anyone is interested.
"Ants don’t worry, they operate like a fantastic team, they accept obstacles and deal with them in a positive manner, they don’t complain and remain positive. An ant doesn’t work on emotion, is proactive and always chooses the ant role."
I'm already jealous of Will
so I may as well join the Jealous of Dan club.

No way.
Will? Will has worked for the jealousy. Dan? I still can’t figure out what the hell Dan has done to deserve this.
there is no justice in the world

Well, not being that scrupulous...
I don’t care how they got what I want, I just want what they got.

correct me if i'm wrong, but
i think it should be a new rule that whenever i click on a fanpost/shot, the first thing i should see is Emilia. if, for some crazy reason, you want to talk about something other than Emilia, feel free to then go into whatever cycling (un)related thing you want, but at least start with Emilia.
am i wrong here?

I vote for ant1 to be Editor at PdC

I'd just like to point out that Steph isn't doing this for me...
… she’s doing it for the women’s peloton :D
I miss Paolo Bettini. That is all.
