Not surprising, I guess

Though slightly less oriented on teams with punchy Italian climbers than some other years, without ASA and AND (and Rebellin).

Radioshack

Hopefully Lance will ride since every time he finishes 2nd a Dutchman wins AGR!

but

this is not PR
and A&S actually has not a bad team for this race!

Definitely

With the Cauberg finish instead of a boulevard in Maastricht, it’s a shame that A&S isn’t here and, for example, TSV is.

It doesn't matter

The podium will be Kroon – Hoogerland – Gesink anyway.
What better time and place to start the Dutch Hegemony for real?

Not suprising

but the inclusion of Astana after they were left out of paris-roubaix is sort of suprising

Not sure why?

completely different organizers plus Astana have a potentially way more competitive team for AGR.

by Jens on Mar 15, 2010 5:56 PM EDT up reply actions

agreed

I think P-R recognize that Astana are a completely imbalanced squad of nothing but climbers and kids who hope to grow up to be climbers.

Different organizers and different type of race

Astana has a good hilly classics line-up(in fact may be their specialty).

To me

This race looks perfectly suited for Gilbert, full of these nasty little climbs but nothing more then a K or so, plus last year he was the fastest finisher out of the field, just nosing out Cunego.

Garzelli could also be in the mix.

Apparently he means Gesink but

after thinking about it, I thought of Fedrigo more

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
