The return of The Cobra - Riccò's back tomorrow
The suspension runs out tomorrow and he's back riding, but he's still running away from the rest of his life, living in a mud hut on the slopes of Etna. Well myabe I lied about the mud hut.

Staring at the swim team gets you killed by a gang of dancing ninja men who know how to twirl.

In the minority on this one....
But I can’t wait to see him back racing. Always one of my favorite riders before the positive.
Yes
He only, and very reluctantly got pushed off my VDS team after the full blacklist came down.

Cycling powers-that-be fear this guy
The off-bike stuff and his apparently strong ability to bring tabloid heat, I guess.
Pulling for Ricco – where will this be in 2 years?

should we start placing bets
on when he tests positive next?
"Ants don’t worry, they operate like a fantastic team, they accept obstacles and deal with them in a positive manner, they don’t complain and remain positive. An ant doesn’t work on emotion, is proactive and always chooses the ant role."
Or who's going to be the first one to accidentally squeeze him against a barrier...
…I dun think Ricco has any idea how few friends he has in the peloton, and not (just) b/c he named names, either.
i just don’t see him behind the repenting/see the error in his ways kind.

Yes, better than that.
I just found his interview in Pro Cycling utterly toe curling. It seemed the only thing he was embarrassed about was the fact that he had been caught, not the fact that he’d taken the stuff in the first place.
You are a
standup comic who does a lot of cycling-related material, I take it?

Ayone want to buy a mongoose?
How about this little guy?

"It's a lovely thing, feeling that momentum. If you're lucky, it's also about grace." Tim Winton
Complete turnaround
that apology that came along w/ the announcement of his return to racing sounded quite sincere. Where was that Ricco when we were castigating the selfish little punk?
New handlers?
An online PR lesson?
An actually sincere apology…I would never have predicted that.
"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the Flag and carrying the Cross."
--Sinclair Lewis
Frankly, too much recent counter-evidence for it to be anything believable.
I’m honestly not sure what Ricco could do that remove the ‘asshole’ designation. It’d have to be a much more long term and sustained turnaround to civilized behavior than one apology, no matter how well written.
?
Speaking of question marks. This little statement does nothing to make me ask myself questions about Ricco’s character, so I certainly wouldn’t refer to this as a “complete turnaround”.

Give the guy a chance...
…BWAH…yuck – I tried to be serious there too.
I don’t mean it!
HE SUCKS! Wonder how long until we see a “totally shocking” second doping violation?
What I can't wait to see
is when he and his one-time sort-of brother-in-law line up side by side in a race.
