Cofidis

They should have gotten a place with Keukeliere (sp?) having the season he is having.

One bad year and you're out

Their highest finisher last year…..96th place. The now-retired Florent Brard.

Awful for them because the previous year they were on the podium with Nuyens.

Plus since it's a Pro Tour race they only had so much room for Pro Conti teams.

I’d guess that they’d rather have Cofidis than oh Footon, but their hands were tied.

footon

they’ve done surprisingly well…they’re an insanely young team, but there is still the SD reference that will have a cloud follow them around.

as for Keukeleire, he’s probably too young to mix it up there, but it would would have been great to see him get a chance to try!

by rowyco on Mar 18, 2010 10:19 AM EDT up reply actions

Keukeleire but his wins have come in races that don't have too many hills

plus it is tough to bank all your hopes on a 21 year old. They do have Kevyn Ista and Nico Sijmens to help but other than that they are lacking.

That was

my initial reaction. But I don’t think they can extend an invitation (that was probably months in the works) for a few last-second wins by a 21-year-old. I wish he was there, though in truth there’s almost no way he hangs with the big big BIG boys just yet.

Can you edit the Pro team listings?

It’s a bit of a mess.

How so?

Looks very much like the source list to me…?

Oh, and can I just say… OMFG, DE RONDE! It draws NIGH! Now we are so happy, we do the dance of joy!

Will I never learn? I should wear ear plugs with you and Drongo.

Either way Lou... it's always laughably awful... in a good way ;)

Well just see it as a rest period...

Missing a few days of training won’t kill your Muur effort..I am sure that you will do fine. =]

even better, it will serve as a great excuse.

no matter what her muur effort turns out to be, oh how it could have been so much better if only she didn’t catch that damn cold that screwed up all her training.

Awww. Have a great big virtual hug.

Rest up, get well.

Can I offer you some… ummm, ‘Heinz Garden Vegetable’ soup of indeterminate vintage? (no chicken soup in my cupboard, sorry. Yes, soup comes out of a tin in my world)

by Lou... on Mar 18, 2010 9:17 AM EDT up reply actions

Haha, most kind!

At the moment, the cold is not as bad as I was expecting…I’m still intending to hit the trainer tonight in front of stages..what…14 onwards of the 09 Tour. But I’m sure it’s going to explode any minute now :-/

Now, not only do we wonder what pros might be ill/hurt for Flanders

We hope all the PdC members going are fully healthy.
Hope you feel better soon!

by Veloki on Mar 18, 2010 9:05 PM EDT up reply actions

your fresh blood

the day before will easily compensate for the cold

(sorry you are ill – be brave – pick a wise cadence – take your time – and enjoy the experience – I have faith in you)

Dance of Joy

Hey Sminer, I promise to do better in the future and for those who are wondering there were a few on the list that copy and paste so well as I assumed they would, so I edited them. That video clip set mankind back another 10 years, brutal.
